Can I wear a Minnie Mouse costume at WDW?

You can't? Why not?

I mean, I don't know why someone would want to wear such formal attire, but I don't see why Disney would care if you did.
Because Disney charges for weddings (and high prices at that) to be held at MK and people wearing wedding attire may potentially be trying to get around those charges. The easiest way to deal with that is simply ban wedding attire for anyone.

Because you might take pictures of yourself dressed up in the park and they wouldn't make any money off of it!! Oh, the horror!!!

OP, I don't know about the dress. Prepare the teen for the fact that they might make her change. Don't let her blubber like a baby on the news if they make her change like that girl last year. April something, I think her name was. "But I just wanted to be Tinkerbelle! (sob, sob, sob)." It was sickening.

When I was about 13 I was asked to turn my t-shirt inside out because it had a picture of a caterpillar "mounting" a crinkle cut french fry. It all depends what CM's catch it and whether they care about the dress code.
The fact that anyone would think that shirt was worth purchasing to begin with is bewildering.

I'm not judging...you were 13...but somebody actually marketed that shirt.

Does Wal*Mart have a special department just for this type of thing?

Last time I went was in June 2012 and I saw a ton of those Nike shirts that have a vulgar language all over them, I don't understand how they did it but they were.
On my trip a few months ago in December I wore my "Talented but Lazy" and "Skilled in every position" Nike shirts. If you have a dirty mind, both phrases can be dirty but they can both be innocent too. I got as many people that told me they loved my talented but lazy shirt as I do when I wear something Saints or LSU.

I'm not sure if this is the right category, as this is my first thread. I know only little kids are allowed to wear costumes, but what about a Minnie Mouse costume? I'm just talking about the dress. Obviously, a teenage girl wouldn't be confused for the character for this particular costume, so I wondered if it's allowed or not? Thanks so much. :)

They should NOT let you in.

However.... I have seen people dressed as "Furries" or "Plushies" (DONT GOOGLE THAT) in the MK. And I did get a photo, its on twitter somewhere.....

What kind of Vulgar language?
Remember, what is considered vulgar can vary greatly from person to person. A couple posts above, R W B mentioned wearing Nike shirts bearing the phrases "talented but lazy" and "skilled at every position". I guess, depending on your own personal beliefs, such phrases could be considered vulgar. Not sure if this is what WDW97 was referring to.

That's why I was asking. I was wondering what they considered vulgar.

The CM that asked you to do that was certainly ignorant as everybody knows that Caterpillars do not reproduce, they are part of the reproductive process for moths and butterflies.

I got it at a music festival if I recall correctly. It may have even had a band name on the bottom of it, I honestly don't rememeber what it was. I'm sure at 13 it was something I just HAD to have though.

Geez. My whole wardrobe is flawed. Guess I'll have to start buying the salty Nike shirts you linked to. True Story - I went to a small Presbyterian college (Now called Lyon College was called Arkansas college when I attended, but someone decided Arkansas didn't imply educational excellence). Anyhoo, my buddy from Texas had a shirt that said EFF YOU I'M from TEXAS (except it wasn't eff if you get my drift) in Giant black block letters on a white background and was confused why he was asked not to walk around campus wearing it.
