About the TSA.... I had my checked bag searched by the TSA in SJU, and found 1 item missing, 2 items damaged by a knife, and the bag with a knife slash.

This was the first week of January, and I still haven't heard back about my claim.

I hate the TSA.

prepare for a bag search if you put it in there. Why not just fedex it to a resort then it will be there when you arrive

I don't see the problem with it, but I'd advise checking it.

Suggestion on luggage locks,
American Tourister makes a plastic temporary lock. Mainly it keeps the zippers closed, and if it's removed, you will know it. We use them every time we fly, and have had no problems with them yet. Just remember to bring extra ones for your return flight. You can usually get them at K-mart, or Wal-Marts for about $3-$5 per pack of ten.

Also, in the even your bag is damaged, searched, or most importantly, your luggage tags are lost, we usually put our name, phone numbers, and address on a sheet of paper, and pack it in each of our checked in bags.
