Can I legally gain access to walk around River Country?

I wouldn't want to go there in its present condition. Since the place has been abandoned for years now, I would think that the "residents" (snakes, etc.) would be enough to scare most people away!
Central Florida is home to the water moccasin... extremely poisonous..

Also is you play golf in the area courses.. don't go hunting for a missing ball in the weeds without a club in your hand :)

There’s enough pictures and footage to go around to satisfy your curiosity without risking a lifetime ban. Same thing with Discovery Island. Also, I’m pretty sure the local wildlife has taken up residence, including snakes, gators and even the legendary brain-eating amoeba.

So much negativity. I would suspect that their are ways you could get them to say yes... but those ways are probably going to be if you were a well known photographer that had a legitimate need to get photos in the area.... or if you were scouting locations for a movie... so really there are possible ways they might allow it, just not many.

It's not negative, it's the truth.
It's probably the truth... but then it is also true that playing the lottery is pretty much a waste of money... But like the lottery once in a blue moon someone gets lucky, the stars line up and they win or in this case they get access to the what is little more than a Disney junkyard... But since this is a Disney board ya might as well give him a Disney ending where he gets to go to what he believes is the happiest place on earth (though I'm really thinking its only happy for the snakes and other critters.)

No. Disney is not really fond of people taking pictures of back stage and abandoned areas.

Either break the law and sneak in and risk getting hurt or arrested or use a drone and hope you dont get caught.

Either way, good luck not getting banned from Disney for life. Otherwise, get ready for some court days if you wanna get back in.

BTW, there are Disney people (CMs and possible Disney informants) who venture to this site.:cautious:

I know that it’s restricted but is there any way that I can get Disneys permission to enter the park to walk around and take pictures? I’m fascinated by abandoned water/theme parks and I lately I am on a kick with River Country, especially given its age (42 years) and it’s uniqueness..I think seeing the park would be a charming yet eerie experience which I love. I’d like the once in a life time opportunity to experience river country before they knock it down and build over it next year...

I’ve seen videos of youtubers going there illegaly but it’s not worth a lifetime ban from Disney lol. So any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

I would rent a water mouse and get close and take pics from the water.
