Can I change someone's name on a reservation?

Planning for a trip in December for my mom and brothers. My brothers are both transgender and I know they want to change their names legally in the future. If they were to do that before the trip, how hard would it be to modify the reservations?

Probably a good question for Disney Guest Relations. You could probably get a definit response by chatting online with onr of the CMs on the Disney website where you booked the trip or through your travel agent.

The lead guest is the only challenge, all other guests can be very easily changed with a call to Disney Reservations. The lead guest can be changed too, it just takes a little bit more work, and perhaps intervention from Guest Services.

I don't think it will be a huge issue. People change their names all the time - marriage, divorce, adoption, etc. so it isn't the first time this has happened.

Precisely, and people decide that they aren't going on the trip and others decide to go in their place. Happens all of the time.

I dont think there will be any problem in changing the name of a guest who is not the lead guest on a reservation. As The Mom said people change their names for all different reasons, so this shouldn't be a big deal. Just be sure to book the trip under the name they will have on their ID at the time of the trip, For example, I advise that if you are booking a honeymoon trip, right after the wedding, that the bride use her maiden name for that trip as that is the name she will have on all of her ID within a few days of the wedding. Have a great time!! Marie
