This week is a great one for DVDs!!! I'm finally getting Monsters Inc., and also Back to the Future, Road to ElDorado and Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase.
And then 2 WEEKS FOR SPIDER-MAN!!! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Well, WE are getting it this week...
What can I say? More than 10 hours of bonus material!!!! And I thought the VHS box, with that Secrets of the Back to the Future Trilogy was good enough. I have this on pre-order, along with Monsters Inc. for more than a month, I just CAN'T WAIT!!ET is also on pre-order, but I'm gonna wait a while for that one. I'm getting The Others (CREEPY movie) along with Spidey, and I'm DREAMING of the day we can get the Indy Trilogy...
It's terrible, the more I buy, the more they release... My list keeps growing! :brick: And what ticks me off is when they re-release stuff with more extras, like the double Singin' in the Rain that's coming out now. What am I supposed to do with the one I already own?!?!?

DVDs have areas so that people can sell them all over the place, or copy them and stuff. The US is Area 1, England is Area 2, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand is Area 4. Theoretically, the players only work for their respective areas, but there are codes you enter to make them "area-free".

You said it! I think they should release both versions on the same day or let you trade up to the special version. Did you notice they always release the "regular" version first even when there's a better version already planned? That way all the people who love the movie go out and buy the regular version then have to buy the one with the extra features a month later.

That's why I'm not gonna buy new releases any more. Now I'll try to get 2 or 3 movies a month that have been on my list for some time. This way, if a Special Edition shows up, I'll be ok, and there's the big chance of the getting the new releases for a lower price... I had Harry Potter on pre-order. It was 44,90 (Reais). A couple of months later, it was being sold for 30 bucks, with a litho, a mousepad and a baseball cap! :brick: :brick:

I get a magazine called Widescreen Review. They list all the scheduled DVD releases for up to 3 or 4 months. I remember seeing that, before Lord of the Rings came out, there was already a special edition scheduled (I think it's scheduled for Nov.):brick:

It is like a cross between the sixth sense and buffy! It is about this guy that sees dead people and helps them solve the crimes that were committed against them. It looks AWESOME!
