Glad I can help.

I'm not sure I can answer you either Maria, never had anyone ask before... let's see what Word gives as meanings:

"hobble" or "walk lamely" seem to fit - does that help?

It's more common than you may think.

Example...

If a dog has an injured leg, then he may be limping when he walks.

It's usually used when someone is hurt and can't apply pressure on one foot like normal.

Let's not forget, "limp" can have another meaning that Tramp so subtly alluded to in a previous post.

Only in the minds of some

Of course, I am right along with some of those minds.

So basically Maria, if you used the word in everyday conversation, no one would think twice about what you meant, but on these boards, just be careful what you write is the moral.:goodnevil

Thank you! I think I got it. As a verb, it means something that I always wanted to know how to say in English, so thank you very much! I finally know it and will not need to explain anymore! :animwink:

Wow... And to think I missed ALL THIS  because I had to work. Stupid me...

Congratulations, Maria! Thanks for all the fun!

P.S.: In Portuguese, "to limp" is "mancar", does it help? I don't know if the word in Spanish is the same.

P.S.: Gary, I WAS paying attention, so I got the little Spidey joke!!! :sohappy: 32 damaged furniture (or something like that...)!!!!
