It surely won't be Man vs Food segment in regards to the measly portions that is served at CG.Maybe there are filming an episode of Diners, Dives, and Drive-Ins?
Here’s the thing though access is guaranteed to DVC members because it’s declared as part of DVC contract for BLT owners, it will prove interesting to see how Disney lawyers removal of a deeded portion of a DVC contract this because it will be the opening wedge for charging DVC members for parkingI feel with them trying to make this a high price to view fireworks package, this will ultimately doom the Top of the World for DVC. However they do California Grill it's ultimately to make money off people wanting to use it for a good view.
There is no way Top of the World is going to come back what it was. They are going to charge for a perk that was once free for DVC owners. Definitely the trend going forward.
The BLT part is the key. They occasionally lock it down to BLT owners only as well at high demand periods. I could see it being a BLT owner perk (not sure if reservations are against the policy or not) and a paid activity for other DVC members. Here’s the thing though access is guaranteed to DVC members because it’s declared as part of DVC contract for BLT owners, it will prove interesting to see how Disney lawyers removal of a deeded portion of a DVC contract this because it will be the opening wedge for charging DVC members for parking
Regarding Top of the World: it’s indefensible that it’s been closed for so long.
Regarding CA grill:
I’m confused, what do you mean you can’t book it?Given the way WDW Dinning Reservations are going? We will likely book all "non-Disney" Fine Dining, via Open Table & direct call, for our NOV 2021 trip. Saddened that Disney Restaurants have essentially cratered... we used to really enjoy them .
We would really like to give WDW our standard $185-$200 per plate... but if you can't BOOK it? It does not exist. WDW does not want the money.
If access is guaranteed to DVC members, how did they get away with the paid events on July 4th and Dec 31st pre-Covid?Here’s the thing though access is guaranteed to DVC members because it’s declared as part of DVC contract for BLT owners, it will prove interesting to see how Disney lawyers removal of a deeded portion of a DVC contract this because it will be the opening wedge for charging DVC members for parking
CA Grill will still be open Oct 2, it will just be a different enough offering to where allowing people to book reservations for it without knowing what it is would be disingenuous.

Also convention business has long vanished from filling the hotel convention space and private events at the parks. Could be a could way to wine and dine execs of companies to solicit that WDW is open again. You can bet it will be used for executive dining and ‘influencer’ events.
