Well, we're back again! I love that we live close enough to take a long weekend and go to Disney. This time we were only going to be in Orlando for 2 park days, and we had a day left on our tickets from November so we didn't have to spend any money on them.
I also love that every new thing we see introduces us to something else new we want to do next time.
January 16th: Travel Day...drove down to Disney, checked into our off-site hotel...not very interesting.
January 17th: Caleb's Birthday!!
We headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios, because our son is a freak for Star Wars! We got up early, but have been there before, and knew that since it was an EMH morning that we had no reason to be crazy-early, there's always people who get in before us on these mornings. We headed over to the will-call window, showed them our registration print-out and Caleb's birth certificate and we got a special birthday gift card for about $63! Awesome start to a very fun day.
Once we got into the park, I took my freezing-in-flip-flops toes and headed over to TSMM to get FPs while my DH took our other tickets to get a FP for ToT and one for RnR. Then we met at the hat and bumped into Donald Duck just as he was about to "duck" away...:ROFLOL:
He found Aaron's Thomas quite interesting. I was surprised Aaron would let go of it long enough to let him play with it. lol
My DH tried to get me to try out for the new American Idol show but I couldn't bring myself to do it...so we proceeded to Playhouse Disney Live. On the way, our birthday boy bought himself a birthday hat.
After Playhouse Disney was over, our FP times were coming up so we proceeded down to RnR and ToT.
This guy was playing Mr Policeman...I'm sure he has a real name but I don't know it! The kids sure thought he was silly.
