Cabanas

Has anyone ever gotten a covered cabana at one of the water parks?

Can you reserve it in advance? What is the price? How many can you squish under it? I have a crowd of 12+ so far so we would need to fit somewhere together. ;)

THANKS!!

If you are speaking about a beach-style cabana, the Disney waterparks do not have pay-cabanas. If you want prime seating, get there early and grab it quick. If you're speaking about a pavilion for a private event, that is not a problem. Call catering at 407-828-3200 and ask to get a quote on a private space at typhoon during normal operating hours. You'd be looking at a Food and Beverage minimum per person, that can vary, but usually starts around 25-ish per person (admission not included) and goes up from there based on what you're looking for.

By the way, you missed a great day to be at typhoon today! The lines were short and the weather was great! I got on crush 4 times without waiting!

There are no cabanas available for rent (like at the GF) at either Disney water park.

There covered areas that feature picnic tables/pool chairs but are strictly first come first serve. Typhoon Lagoon has several scattered around the park. These covered areas are "no frills" and your typical "shelter".

I'm not familar with the pavilion option that Imayoyo offered, but it's definately worth a shot to look into!

As far as I know, the GF (and I think maybe the S&D) is the only resort to offer pool side cabanas.

The cabanas are equiped with a small table and 2 chairs, 2 lounge chairs, stocked fridge, 22in flat screen television, DVD player, phone, and satelite radio/ cd and mp3 player; and has a ceiling fan.

10am to 2pm rental: $60
3pm to 7pm rental: $60
10am to 7pm rental: $110

You also have the option to order private dinning as well as have a massage in your cabana (extra charge). Please note that this is ONLY available for guests staying at the GF and reservations must be made.

Bummer! Our local rinky-dinky Cape water park has white tent like cabanas you can rent in advance and they are nice and shady. I was hoping to have that option for the water park day. Looks like we will be rising early! Maybe we can be early enough to be the family of the day.... hmm
