Well, rehab is soon, folks. 2002 WDW guidebooks say that "this attraction may not be open during your stay at EPCOT"...

It may be time soon to say goodbye to Hypothaulomous! :(

(I'd say when Mission: Space opens..any other news??)

Oh god....I remember reading that in my book too. I just hope we don't lose Cranium Command. That is my favorite show in all of WDW. I would hate to lose it....YOU HEAR THAT IMAGINEERING! Don't take that away UpGRADE it....
Do you know the difference between update and Upgrade?

Upgrade: Enhancement of computer and mechanical software and hardware, restoration of video and other media (sounds etc.)

Update: MURDER OF CLASSIC

Now, I feel like changing my avatar....

Well, having "Hanz and Franz" from the last cast of SNL, Jon Lovitz, and Bobcat Goldthwait hosting the show, Disney will probably update it and I think they should. NOT that I am saying I don't like any of these guys, I think that ALL of them are awesome, just out of date by today's standards, and you know how Epcot is about out of date things.

I guess I never heard about them changing anything here. If they are updating it so much as to have to close the entire pavillion, they must be planning on doing a lot in there. Are they replacing everything? I like Cranium Command, too. However, I am not a big fan of Body Wars, which may be a surprise to some. I just think it is way to...well...sickening, if you know what I mean :hurl:

Cranium Command is an...interesting attraction... It's not as "beloved" as the late Horizons or Journey into Imagination - but I'd say it's kinda like the Timekeeper - very witty, creative, and funny every time! However...it doesn't appeal to me as a "keep forever classic"... I guess no EPCOT attraction has been except "Spaceship Earth"...

Cranium Command is only, 12? years old? It's still very outdated, and I agree - if it's to stay, it needs some upgrading...but I'm afraid Disney might cut it.

I hear there may be a "Toy Story" simulator or show in Wonders of Life...now that just seems sick! :hurl:

Bummer. I'll miss Cranium Command and "The Making of Me."

Hopefully they'll just update the pavillion but keep some of the attractions like those two.

Recording WOL

What is the current policy regarding taping/photography inside Cranium Command?

While possible restrictions won't discourage the experienced folk, it would make it "easier" to grab shots of the attraction prior to a possible permanent closure.

Let me know and I'll get right on it.

Well, inside Cranium Command, the recorded spiel says "absolutely no video taping"; however, if you start the camera after the CM leaves (since the CMs there are so sick of it), or if they're in the back and you have *NO* external lighting, they probably will let you.

As for WOL itself, I've filmed every bit a few months ago - I want to remember that colorful, healthy atmosphere... :(

Cranium Command is in the same boat as CoP. CC is a great show, but you know that the show is getting outdated and there is nothing to stop that. Much like the final scene in CoP. You could update it to modern times, but that would make a huge jump between the previous time period, and thus make the family a *really* freakishly old one.

I can see what you mean, but as far as value, that seems to be a horse of a different color... not as far as *individual* value - that still counts, though. :)

I forgot to make the point that CC is in FUTUREworld and CoP is in TOMORROWland, so there has to be some updating/modernity.

i always enjoyed CC - though i admit, it could use a bit of upgrading. it's actually the only attraction at WOL that i even visit.

i posted videos of the pre-show and full attraction in the ride video thread, or you can just click the link in my signature...

i didn't have a problem filming it, the only person who noticed was a little girl sitting in front of me :)

Sad note:

Outside Cranium Command Prewshow, in the queue space.

Guest: is this a good show?
CM: no, it's a dumb and cheezy kid thing.

Why the heck did they hire this CM??!
