Plus the crowds were so light even with Splash Closed Big Thunder was barley over 20 minutes and Space was only about a 15 minute wait at 2pm.

Nevertheless, it seems that BTM needs some adjustments in places we aren't capable of seeing and other details we aren't aware when we just ride the attraction. I don't think they will take the risk of closing both mountains at once if they don't need to do it urgently.

I was just responding to an earlier post that said it was closed off and on all day Saturday, and noted that it was open on Sunday, that is all.

Saything nothing as to wether or not the ride may have some mechanical problems.

Glad I chose to go to USF/IOA on my one-day trip next month. I couldn't imagine how mad I would be if I paid all that $ to get into MK on my one available day, only to find two mtns closed at the same time. I work in aircraft, so I understand about safety and all. But I also know you sometimes have to work through the night with a mega-crew to keep something working. Otherwise, you really p.o. the people who pay your bills.
Hope Disney is smart enough to do whatever it takes to keep BTM going until Splash is back up.

well....actually...if your next trip is 2/10/02, Splash would have been open...it opens on the 9th. I would think IF disney can keep Big Thunder open even that long, it will certainly close on the 9th...wonder if it can last 3 weeks....
