BWI or BC

Hi there :)
A while back I was asking advice on resorts for our family of 5 (me,DH and kids who will be 10, 8 and 3) we are still swinging between the Boardwalk Inn and the Beach Club and also between standard rooms with views or going club level so I am calling for votes. Which resort out of these 2 and what room :)

P.S please try not to throw in another option as my head may explode if another gets thrown into the mix

My kids are water babies so the beach club appealed because of the pool but we don't want to base our decision on that alone. Which resort has the nicer rooms? Better atmosphere? With being unsure of club level that is because we normally stay club level at other chains such as Hilton and Sofitel for the perks like evening drinks and canapés as well as continental breakfasts in the morning and we have found usually club level guests have larger rooms. Is Disney club level the same?

Also just to add we will be travelling a long way (from Australia) and want to make this a trip of a lifetime for our children and enjoy all the luxuries we can find so if we did stay club it wouldn't be to stroke our ego

BoardWalk is more sophisticated. And has nicer rooms, although they are the same size as BC. BoardWalk guarantees a full balcony as well. Decent pool with really fun water slide. And their common areas are more themed/decorated than at BC.

Beach Club is more childish, the lobby is loud, and the Resort is not as sophisticated. Kind of has Little Mermaid characters thrown into the decor. Balconies are small or nonexistant. Their pool, as described, is awesome, and so are the walkways around the Resort.

If you stay Club Level, BoardWalk is leaps and bounds better than Beach Club. That's an easy choice.

My vote would be for Lake/BoardWalk View at the BoardWalk Inn (vs staying at Beach Club). We have stayed Club Level many times, and easily prefer BW to BC--the Lounge is so much larger, has a neat view, and the friendliest CMs.

Have fun choosing, good luck.

Thank you :) we looked further into our choices and decided to go in a completely different direction and have fallen in love with the villas at the GF

I'd been dealing with a similar decision for our kid-free trip this fall. While I still haven't ruled out the MK area resorts, BWI won out over BC for me. We really like having a full balcony and I prefer the common areas a BWI over BC. What's funny, we stayed at YC a few years ago...picked it for the pool, but when my kids saw the Luna Park pool over at BWI- they liked that better than Stormalong Bay!

I just wanted to add that even though a lot of people seem to enjoy it, I think Stormalong Bay is seriously overrated. Plus how stupid is it that you need to physically leave their pool area, walk along the path to/from Epcot just to access their pool slide.

I also agree with you that BWI Club Level is a million times better then BC Club Level.

both are great...i chose BC for us this time because of the better pool and closer walk to Epcot (although thats getting picky because both are close)

Just wanted to mention that the walk from the Beach Club to Epcot might be no more then 1 -2 minutes faster, compared to the walk from the Boardwalk.

We prefer the BWI over BC but tend to alternate some, this summer staying at AKL & BC in a split stay b/c those are the two resorts my son wanted, mainly because of the pools.

Hey! You said no more options! You're deceptive! :D

Having said that, if you're REALLY thinking The Villas at Grand Floridian, I'd say this - if you can book now, book NOW. Because unlike the regular rooms at the Grand Floridian, the Villas are probably only going to get harder to book the more people buy VGF points.
