Or that one guy that claimed he had a guy go in WOL and film it for him even though he talks about the guy when describing the footage and how it was shot. Then he accidentally says "I made sure to focus on this corner" or something like that making it obvious he himself snuck in and shot the footage
Don’t you mean “Greg” or something like that... yeah it was totally him 😂

So...on topic with urban exploring, that Matt kid. He went into Walt's old plane and now he climbed BTMRR. This probably isn't a good look for Disney along with the whole Buzzy situation going on as well.
Yeah based on the preview of BTMRR, it appears to be after closing time too.. he better be careful because I’m sure they’re on high alert with buzzys clothes (and possibly buzzy himself) missing.

I, as well as some other people, predict that YouTube will fade into obscurity within a few years. I think that another video site that is less corporate and cares more about the creators and viewers will pop up someday soon and pull a lot of people away from YouTube. I even heard a crazy rumor a while back that an adult site was considering launching a family friendly YouTube competitor. Not sure how that would go over with the general public but it would certainly be interesting.
I don't think youtube will ever be overtaken by another site soon. It is too big and has too much history for it to be overtaken. Plus there has been plenty of internet sites that had and have similar functions to youtube that have not overtaken it. Including vimeo, blip (rip), snapchat, etc.
In order for youtube to fall off the map, a big situation must happen. Similar to the tumblr nsfw ban. Or worse.

Post has been deleted, so maybe this is irrelevant at this point, but NO urban explorers, have not devolved into stealing. I am not an urban explorer, but I enjoy their videos, and from what I know REAL urban explorers have a code to leave everything as it was found... this guy was a common theif. I had a little respect for him for the content he released, until I found out he indeed stole the clothes... so for guys like ATW, Mat Sonswa etc.. they are in a different league than this backdoor disney chap... he’s (spikes) a low life theif and to rope ATW and Sonswa and the others who did nothing but bring interesting content, in the same league as him is to give them a bad name which they are undeserving of IMNSHO.

Wow. You don't often get such a clear cut case of a No True Scotsman fallacy.

If you're going to be stupid enough to photograph stolen items with the intent of selling them, at least be smart enough to use a burner. Not that I condone this nonsense, I just really hate illogical people/actions. Like I said, I almost spent hard time locked up for theft that I had nothing to do with. If this clown did this, he has 0% sympathy from me, especially after being dumb enough to leave a trail.

Also, @MouseBrayden, I enjoy your YouTube videos, bud. I pretty much just watch TimTracker, Adam the Woo, The DIS and you. Good stuff.

Please explain? It’s their code.. an informal unwritten code but code none the less.. all I’m saying is don’t rope him in with the aforementioned urbanexplorers because they don’t steal (follow the code) and he (spikes) did Not therefor should not tarnish the reputations of people like Adam the woo.. I’m sorry but I don’t see how this constitutes a “no true Scotsman” fallacy... is makenthe same claim if any of the affor mentioned urban explorers committed theft.

Simple, I'm trying to figure out the reason for the misplaced concern about a missing piece of scrap metal. It doesn't seem worthy of all that concern. It seems more like, OK, I'll say it, gossiping about an imagined personality. In that process I have stated how I feel about it. Which is with very little concern and so far I have been called a Troll and other things and have been told that I shouldn't participate because my power of reason cannot grasp the curiosity. Besides I have yet to hear one single argument for why this is all that important. But, I also said I was going to leave the discussion so all you folks that agree with each other can have a rousing, if not endless and non-sensible discussion.

Also because people like yourself feel compelled to post negative, mean spirited comments about me that have no bearing on anything and basically force me to defend my opinions about things that you have no right to challenge. If you guys stop feeling the need for self-righteousness, I will stop feeling the need to reply. I never meant it to be more then the one post anyway, but, if you people need to constantly attempt to control my rights to have a different opinion and you are not strong enough to just ignore it and feel confident in your own opinions then there will be this type of back and forth. I will not be forced to stop defending myself when attacked. You can count on that. So how about a lot less concern about how I feel about the demise of a duplicatable piece of machinery and just express your opinion and move on. I'm certainly not really concerned about changing your minds, just more in trying to understand it.

This is a WDW forum. You know that, I know that. The point of this entire forum is for people to discuss WDW and other Disney related topics. I have visited this site fairly regularly for about ~10 years, made an account a few years back, log on pretty much daily and still only find a certain number of topics I that interest me. There's plenty of threads that make me think "who cares" - why would I bother arguing on said threads with those that do care? If you haven't figured out *why* people care after dozens of pages you probably never will. Why keep commenting?

Probably for the same reason you do. You might not agree with his posts/positions but he certainly has the right to express them, just as we all do here. If you don't like what by he says just ignore it on move on. No reason to attack anyone on these boards for having an opinion on something just because it differs from yours. We ALL have a love for WDW or else we wouldn't be here.

My point is that I am not arguing with anyone. I am expressing how I feel about it and how I don't always understand how others can get that connected. If you or anyone thinks that I lose sleep over the fact that others see things differently then me, that would be a grave mistake.

However, due to a couple of people that have decided to paint this evil picture of me just because I don't always just fall in line with the thinking of others, I have gotten the mistaken reputation that I am trying to convince others. I would be perfectly happy to just give my opinions once and be done with it, however, it isn't me that continues the discussion. Everyone has to attempt to tell me that I have no right to my thoughts, and that they are all justified in their stand and I shouldn't be trying to burst their bubble. The fact of the matter is that I don't try to burst your or anyone's bubble, I don't even know where you keep it. That said, I'm sorry that people cannot understand that there are differing opinions about almost everything and I do genuinely wonder what prompts some of the emotions that I am unable to ever feel about some stuff. I continue to read with no intention of responding, but, like in the Godfather movie... many just keep pulling me in because they are trying to convince me that I am wrong and I should see things their way.

I have been told to stay out of some discussions, go feed the cat or something, because since I am not completely addicted to Pixie Dust, I don't always agree. Sorry, that is not going to happen and the only time I add anything is when I read something that I am unable to wrap my brain around or someone feels it necessary to quote me and respond in an attempt to correct my wrongful ways or intimidate me into just nodding my head in agreement. It ain't gonna happen. So if anyone doesn't want to hear more from me, all they have to do is not quote me and bring me back into it. It really isn't all that difficult to understand.

Of course he does. I just wonder how many times someone is going to say on a thread "this is a dumb topic, why does anyone care?". Sure, it's an opinion - but is it really saying anything valid or novel after the first time?

I am in no way arguing you shouldn't have the opinion you do I just don't see how it's fruitful to keep repeating it in a sea of people who clearly find this an interesting topic.

On the Topic at hand- I think it's inexcusable that Disney allows entire backstage / abandoned attractions to be left completely vunerable to theft. Have they not heard of passcode protected doors / etc?

To be fair the attraction itself although abandoned is not really meant to be "backstage" that is why there are no locked doors barring entry. I don't believe it was built with the idea to keep people out. I am however surprised there are no working cameras in this area as they are easy to install if not already in place. Sure Disney could have done something with the prop if they wanted to archive it but it is NOT Disney's fault people have no morals and are effectively trespassing.

You're right it's not - people will trespass regardless. But how can they not put some more safety protocols in place that would reduce this trespassing / theft / etc. problem greatly? They have expensive equipment and valuable props laying around, they are well aware of the Urban Explorer "movement", and they certainly don't want reports of theft that only reinforces they have lax security behind the scenes (any attraction that is closed effectively becomes behind the scenes by the sheer fact the general populace isn't allowed to poke around there anymore; whether temporarily or permanently) . They have no locked doors, cameras, extra security, *whatever* to mitigate these very real issues?

Based on your excruciatingly long paragraphs, you ARE trying to convince your side across and get a point out there that nobody cares about. And you ARE arguing, otherwise you wouldn’t type so much in your own defense. Nobody’s painted an “evil picture” of you except for, well, you. Because newsflash— Nobody likes a pessimist or someone with lack of empathy. A post that is obviously meant to trigger someone, is a post made by a (for lack of better word on these forums) jerk.

First question: how long before Walt's plane comes up missing? Second question: if you watched Sonswa's video til the end, did you SEE where his next video is? That dude is insane. Two lifetime bans and he's climbing an attraction. Pretty sure that kid is supernatural or something.

Happy 2019!!
