Buzz Lightyear Queue Repainted

They're spoiled, but parents also don't care. There was an issue at Peter Pan yesterday that caused an e-stop. A kid got out on the wrong side of the boat because his parents weren't watching him. The parents didn't even notice that their child was doing something dangerous. He was crawling around on the set and his parents were just leaving the ride without him. When they got him back, they didn't even look worried about their kid, even though he could have rolled onto the track or something horrendous like that. I just wonder why some people feel that they should have children.

Yes, this too. I dont understand how parents can either not care where their kids are at, what they're doing, etc. or like I said, not discipline/teach their kid how to act. Ridiculous! Then many parents wonder why their kids are disrespectful, bratty, or viewed by others as bad kids. smh

This queue has always had issues with an excess of wear and tear. On my very first time seeing it in 1999 there were huge chunks of paint missing from some of the walls. I think the narrow spaces, high traffic volume, and amount of simple painted walls add up to an attraction that needs almost constant touch ups.

I think that's the key. If somebody dug a hole out of a post in the E:E queue, people would probably just assume that it was there on purpose and part of the theming. The "clean lines" of the Tomorrowland attractions make nicks and scrapes look much more profound.

I also see grubby little girls and grubby big adults vandalizing queue lines. I doubt it is the toddlers who leave their gum in every crevice or write obscene messages in the bathrooms (which are thankfully cleaned up almost immediately).

Behind every child behaving poorly is a useless parent. When I was a child, my parents certainly wouldn't have let me behave like some of these kids.

So true. If my children behaved like these kids, that would be their last time ever through the Buzz Lightyear queue, let alone WDW. It's a combination of spoiled children and the parents who don't want to parent, which leads to these poorly behaving kids.

WDW's upkeep clearly isn't like what it was in the past due to the company's cost cuts, but it can't be unnoticed that people treat everything like their own personal trash can and there is a lot more wear and tear due to people's actions.

Part of the problem is that these parents head to places like WDW (and cruises, and other theme parks, and the Smithsonian, and Vegas, etc) with this grand sense of entitlement. They act like the whole world owes them something because they are on vacation at a place where they feel they can abuse the workforce and the surroundings. You put some of these adults in WDW and they feel that it is ok to be rude, arrogant, and let their kids do whatever they want. Makes me cringe each time I see it. Adults can be disgusting, more than kids sometimes, because the adults know better.

The que has been like that for the past 2 weeks. I went about 2 weekend's ago and the batteries were gone. They may have had to bring them back to the paint shop to re-work them.
