Buying Tickets

We are going for our very first vacation as DVC members this summer. Everytime we tried to book our tickets for the trip, they tell us to wait and buy them when we check in. I was just wondering why this is?

You can buy your tickets when you check in and they can be added directly to your room keys. No hassle

What about if you buy annual passes? Can those be loaded to your room key?

You will get a seperate pass for the annual pass.
