Whoo hoo, only 27 days to go :sohappy: So I did a room only ressie, and I still have to buy park tix. I can buy tix at the Poly when I check in, correct? Is it better to do that, or order them now & do a will call at the MK on our 1st day of touring? THANKS!!!!

You can certainly buy tickets at Poly when you arrive. From Disney's website:

Concierge Assistance

Concierge assistance at Disney's Polynesian Resort is available to Resort hotel Guests 7 days a week, from 7:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m. Located in the main lobby, the concierge can help you purchase Theme Park tickets and make Walt Disney World dining and show reservations.

I'm not sure if you can buy tickets at the hotel or not. But you can definitely buy them at the Ticket & Transporation Center, or at any of the theme parks. You can order them ahead of time if you want, but it generally won't save you any money (unless you order them far enough ahead of time that you beat the annual price increase). The only benefit I can think of to ordering them now is that you have them in hand when you get there rather than have to take time out to go buy them once you get there. I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a "will call" service there. I think if you order the tickets now, you get the tickets in the mail. At least that's how it was as of 8 years ago, when I ordered tickets ahead of time.

All resorts now sell MYW and AP tickets at the Concierge desk.

I don't think they sell FLA Resident tickets [but I'm not an FLA resident, so wouldn't know].

A word of warning that won't impact most: The AP tickets sold at a resort Concierge are on a different ticketing system from those sold at GR locations or the TTC. I only found out when trying to have special changes made to my AP at a GR location. Because it had been purchased at a resort, the GR CM had to re-issue the AP on their system [and on the paper/tyvek media instead of plastic] before they could make the changes I needed.

I have been told in the past by Concierge that I need to go to GR for AP's. Specifically, I already had purchased my AP online with a DVC discount and went to Concierge desk at my DVC resort to have the ticket media printed and they told me that the only place to do that was at the GR window at the resorts.

Has this policy changed?

BTW, don't forget your drivers license when you pick-up your AP. I did last year when we got to Epcot GR window and they would not issue me my AP. Stupid me, put my wallet with my DL in the safe in our room. Anyway I had to buy a one day ticket and the next day I had to go back to the GR window to get my AP and they refunded my money for the one day pass.

If you buy your tickets at the conceriege desk, they will put your tickets on your room key... Only takes a few minutes so you can do this after you check into your room and before you head to the parks:wave:

I bought a regular, un-discounted AP at the Concierge at POR in August.

Only Magic Your Way tickets. AP's cannot be attached to your KTTW card.

Thanks Monty. That is good to know. I will not need to do anything with my current AP, but I will stop at Concierge and check if that will also work for DVC AP's or not since I will be at Kidani this weekend.

In August, I thought you were just there for the 40th?

Getting APs at the resorts is fairly new, sometime in the past few months, I believe.

It also may be that the resort system can't process a voucher. (I'd guess the voucher would be part of the parks' ticketing system, and the resorts can't directly access it)
