Buy 4 Get 3 Free

I asked a similar question a while back and the answer I was given, by a KK representative, was that the trip just needs to start by then. In this case, if you were staying a week and your first night was August 14, the whole trip would still fall under the "stay 4, get 3" deal.
That has been true in the past but as we all know rules seem to change at Disney more frequently than most people change their underwear. I will not be able to confirm this until it becomes official on Monday and I will give you guys an answer then.

Thanks Richard - I actually sent an email to Pam with some questions about this since we are taking a rather large group down in August for Magic Music Days and we are scheduled to perform on August 11th. I'll be patient until you have all the info :D

I hope they extend the promotion for the whole month of August since we always go at the end of August
What do you guys think is better free days or free food?

Unfortunately there is not one encompassing correct answer for that question. It will depend on both your party size and which resort you are staying at. Naturally you will save more on your room if you are staying at a deluxe resort but of course the savings of free dining with a party of 4 adults could offset or exceed those savings especially if you plan on staying at a value. Like most things you need to run the numbers for your individual situation to be 100% sure what the best value is.

Exactly. I did 10 days at Pop this past September with 10 day hoppers and free dining for 4 people at $2k. Pretty competitive, but would have been less so with only 2 people in our party. 7 for 4 is good, but I would rather have free dining. I'll bet we see a free dining offer beginning the week after 7 for 4 ends with a room discount.

We are booked to stay at the Wilderness lodge with a party of two... i guess i just have to wait til monday to crunch the numbers. Thanks for the help everyone...

Yep, it is all a numbers game. If you are staying at a deluxe resort the 7 for 4 deal could easily save you $900 and if you are a party of 2 free dining would save you only around $560 for the same week long trip. On the flip side the 7 for 4 deal at a value would save you around $350 but with a family of 4 with both kids over 9 you would save around $1100 with free dining.

You can do the numbers right now. Take your daily room rate and multiply it by 3. If that number is less than $560 then you will save more with the free dining for a 7 night stay especially if you typically order the higher priced meals.

If you're staying 7 nights, the B4G3 promo is essentially 43% off the room. The more expensive the room, the more that the dollar-amount savings adds up to, but the Dining Plan stays the same price no matter which resort you're staying at. So at some point, the 43% of the room becomes greater than the price of the DDP (which is pretty much what MasterYoda was getting at in his previous post).

My roommate and I are going in June. We weren't sure whether we were going to stay at a Value or a Moderate. I got one of the PIN code e-mails for Free Dining during May and June, so I calculated it out both ways.
At a Value resort for 2 adults, Free Dining was the cheaper option. But at a Moderate (and thus all levels above a Moderate, too), it was cheaper to book the B4G3 promo and pay full-price for the Free Dining. (We ended up booking a Value)

Can this be combined with other discounts (e.g. AAA), or is this an either/or discount?

Thanks.

You cannot combine any offer with any other offer. In other words you cannot combine the buy 4 get 3 deal with a AAA discount just as you cannot combine a pin code with a AAA discount.

I would assume that the 4/3 will be offered in the fall, since they extended it for the summer. I am thinking that if they do offer this promotion they will probably only do gift cards at the slowest times. January and early february are slow so the gift cards acted as more incentive. That being said gift cards will probably only be offered during their historically slow weeks: The few weeks before and after Thanksgiving. September and October maybe. I too am hoping to go in the fall, I am sure we will see some good promotions since the economy shows no sign of rebounding.

I actually hope they keep offering it right until I have to book next year's vacation!

Greedy, I know!

I saw the gift cards being offered in the January - March timeframe as a way to offset the higher cost of Peak season, which runs from mid-February to late March....so IMHO you will only see gift cards offered during historically expensive times.

We are going on Aug 21. Are the crowds that much worse the week before . If they are not that much different we'll change the dates to Aug 14.
