Busiest/most lucrative restaurants on property?

I was wondering if anyone had any info on Disney Worlds most popular / lucrative restaurants on property? They don't just have to be Disney owned, I'm wondering about the Downtown Disney ones as well. Or if anyone has any details on how much any individual one brings in?

I'm wondering because I'd like to know where I should attempt to work when I am there. Thanks!

I recall hearing from a CM in Food and Beverage that Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland is the busiest restaurant on property and, perhaps, one of the largest fast-food restaurants in the U.S.

Any character dining location. Character dining is always fully booked and the meals are pretty expensive which makes the percentage for your tip go higher. I have a friend who is a server in character dining and can bring home about $300 on a regular non busy day.

I'm affraid the most profitable restaurants to work at are le celliar and the rose and crown which of course only accept cultural reps and former citizens of those countries to work at, but the next best ones are 50's prime time and cinderella's royal table and then any other character dining.

Cosmic's is the busiest restaurant on property, busiest in the US, and third-busiest in the world.

Thats an interesting stat. Is that something that is listed by Disney internally?

I'd like to know the source as well, as I really doubt it is the busiest F&B location in the country. As far as the greatest revenue generator, I'm pretty sure that honor would go to Fulton's.

Fulton's is no where near as busy as the QSFB locations in the MK or even the full service places, it depends on what category you're putting them into. Fulton's does very well but not when you compare them to how many people want character dining at Chef Mickey's or a quick hamburger at Cosmics or Pecos.

I'm talking revenue, not volume. The DTD restaurants like Rainforest and Fulton's (with very high average checks in large restaurants) have very high revenues. Fulton's in over 20 million and Rainforest is even higher (The 3 Disney Rainforest locations-DTD WDW, DTD DL, AK- combined generate 80 million and the DTD WDW is the most successful of the 3 so you can guess just what the exact number is).Cosmic Ray's has to serve a lot of people in order to reach that type of revenue based on the prices they charge. At $5 a kid and $10-12 an adult, you have to serve a lot of people to get over the likely 30 million a year that Rainforest is doing at DTD. The character dining locations charge as much as the DTD restaurants, but don't do nearly as many covers due to their smaller sizes and fewer turns since people try to linger more to spend time with the characters, so it's hard to think they would reach those revenue levels. You'll get no argument from me that Cosmic Ray's does the most volume, but I was trying to find the most lucrative restaurant and that would appear to be Rainforest Cafe at DTD.

Yep!That's why you never get a seat in there.I think Pecos Bills is pretty far up there too.

From the way the original post is stated, I'm assuming the OP is looking to work as a server in restaurants and therefore interested in the tips, etc. In that case, Cosmic Rays (and any QS for that matter) isn't applicable so yes, Rainforest Cafe is probably the best one to try to work for in terms of busiest/lucrative :)

PS: To the OP, I lived in Cincinnati for a year

Yeah as far as being a server Rainforest is always VERY popular... you could also try the new T-Rex place, though I don't know much about it but people around here seem to think it will be very popular also. Each will also have a fun atmosphere to work at:)

:sohappy::sohappy: Nice choice...lol... working there (50's prime time) I've never seen it not busy, except for maybe during fantasmic and usually then, there's a tiny wait! Plus they have possibly the most AMAZING managers...

Oh dear, I'll be working in Food when I'm down there, I'm worried I'll get those crazy annoying uber-picky customers!
