Bus travel times

I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the thread by searching for some reason.

I am looking for the bus travel times for all the resorts to each of the parks. Can someone provide that or a link to a post with it already there.

I don't there ARE set bus times.
They just go back and fourth from Parks to resorts.
They add more buses during peak travel times.
When I stayed at the Contemporary Resort the buses ran about every 20 minutes for each park.

I'm not sure what time the first bus arrives in the morning or the last bus runs at night.
Perhaps someone here can answer that.

All of them??? I dont think I even would know where to look for that stuff. I usually allow one hour from the point of time I get to the bus stop at any given resort to the park I Am looking to get to. More often than not it wont take that long but if you happen to just miss a bus and another one doesnt come along immediately etc. Belle

I don't know either, but I know there's a chart in the Unofficial Guide that compares travel times from each resort to each park using Disney transportation vs. your car. It shows average time ranges in minutes for both options.

from my own experience- when i stayed at the all star sports in may 2005 the animal kingdom buses came what felt like every 5 minutes and i put this down to it being in the animal kingdom resort area because an animal kingdom bus would pull up and people would get on it and then another animal kingdom bus would be behind it. what i think is whichever resort you stay at for example carribbean beach resort there MIGHT be a bus that comes ever 5 minutes to take people to epcot because that resort is in the epcot area.

Sorry, I guess my meaning was not typed out correctly. I meant how long it takes from each resort to get to each park.

And to make it easy, just moderates would be ok. Sorry for the confusion.

I too have only seen this in the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. I have never seen anything online.

Passporter has approximate travel times from each resort to each park as well. I think the Unofficial Guide is better showing comparison to using a car, helpful in deciding whether to rent one or not.

when i stayed at the all star sports in may 2005 the bus journey took (roughly):
ak: 5 mins
mk:10 mins
MGM: 7 mins
epcot: 10 mins
dtd: forever because the bus goes around the back way by sarasota springs but in all i would of said 10-15 mins.

seems you said moderate resorts if you look on any disney map whichever resort is by a park for example coronado springs is in the animal kingdom area so i would say it would take about 5 minutes to get to animal kingdom and just add about 5 minutes onto the journey to the parks that are further from the one closest to any moderate resort.

3 years ago I used a matrix w/drop down boxes that gave you approx times from every imaginable location to another, but don't recall the site. I've tried googling it but haven't found what I'm looking for yet. I'll post the link if I find it.

I know from Caribbean Beach, once leaving the Resort grounds itself:

MGM is super close, not even 5 mins.
Epcot is also super close, about 5 mins.
AK is a little farther at around 7 or 10.
and MK is farthest at just over 10, or sometimes up to 20 mins. But the way home from MK always seems to be so long, I hate those speed bumps in front of Poly and all the jughandles we take...

Well, I went to the bookstore and looked at the 2006 Unofficial Guide and some of the times sound long but I have not done them myself so can't verify. Can you let me know if this sounds right?

For the "by car" ones they included the waiting at the tollbooth and the tram ride from the parking lot as well.
