I know what you mean. When you 'nuke em' the corners take on a plaster consistancy. But when you get to that center, Happy Happy Joy Joy. Unfortunately, you should probably unwrap the burrito and toss it in the toilet, skip the middle man (or woman).

Put them in the oven instead of the microwave. Flour tortillas always get nasty in the microwave... :)

Buen provecho! :slurp:

Very good advice if I am eating them at home. Typically, these are consumed at work where the only heating device as a early model microwave that takes forever to 'cook' stuff.

I would rather use the oven for all cooking instead of the microwave. All that is is an expensive popcorn popper. Of course it does heat up soup rather well, and mac n cheese for the kids, not to mention spagettios, and hot pockets - I can't forget those. Whoever invented the 'crisping sheath' is a genius.

Microwave ovens are EXCELLENT for cooking vegetables...except asparagus.

My SIL & BIL don't even have a stove in their house!!! They cook EVERYTHING in their two microwaves!!! (Supplemented by a grill and rice cooker.) He even bakes cookies, etc in the microwave.

I've been know to cook entire meals in the microwave, however since I've gotten some really nice cast iron pots & pans I use them almost exclusively. Veggies, snacks & quick lunches now go into the micro. Does nice salmon, though. :slurp:

I had heard that is does a real good job on veggies, but have you seen what it does to a poor little pork chop?:slurp: :slurp: Looks like something out of Fear Factor.
