Burger King; yay or nay?

I like a whopper ever now and then, but the meat to bun and toppings ratio seems a little off so I usually order a double whopper.
Of course, it never looks like the promo photo, but what does?
If there is a Five Guys anywhere close by, the Five Guys always gets the nod.

I only go to BK a few times a year. When I do go there, I'll have either a Jr. Whopper with cheese, or a chicken sandwich (the original one with lettuce and mayo -- sometimes I get a slice of cheese on that). :hungry:

Don't eat there very often (once or twice a year) but I like the whopper with cheese no onion. I try to avoid McD and Burger King in this area the service is horrible, 9 times out of ten the order is wrong

For years, every time I give Burger King a chance it’s always the absolute worst service - an already low bar, being fast food. The food is never fresh. It’s the absolute bottom of the barrel for standard fast food chains.
Not denying the poor service mantle, however, I don't really know what type of service folks are talking about. We go to the counter and order, wait for it to be packaged and handed to us, we take it back to a table after filling our own cups with whatever beverage we have chosen, eat and then clean up after ourselves and take the trash to the disposal areas as we walk out. Where does the service part fall into place. Oh, and we don't tip no matter how good the service might be. Who would we be tipping?

My choice of Fast Food in this genre are Wendy's, Burger King and McDonalds. All in that order, but with very little difference between them. Wendy's win only because they offer a Baked Potato as a side option. Love baked potatoes, but I hate baking them.

Many times I have gone to McD and stood there waiting to order while the employees chit chatted or were on their cell phones. Go through the drive through and ask for a specific burger (no onions) take a bite full of onions. I think this is what people are referring too as bad service.

Basically Burger King, in my experience, has the rudest, slowest, and most uncaring employees, which is already a low bar for fast food. But that also could just be the Burger Kings around here. Chick-Fil-A, on the other hand, typically has stellar service.

OK, I understand what you are saying but that must be fairly regional. I have never experienced any of that. Slow sometimes when people with less then a high quality command of the English Languish hold up the line, very busy but, never just ignored. Mistakes in special orders, I wouldn't know because I don't alter the basic recipes that they use, (i.e. onions, pickles, etc.) I have never noticed any rudeness directed at me or uncaring anymore then I would expect from a fast food, minimum wage help that don't have a possible tip in the future. I keep thinking how little my motivation would be if I was just working the registers at Burger King. In status that is only one step up from homeless, but it isn't homeless. Just a group of people that made the wrong decisions somewhere along the line or high school kids that actually couldn't possibly care less about anything other then social media. 🙂😎🍔🍟

Whopper with cheese if I must but prefer Whataburger.

A little late to this thread, but Whataburger was one of my favorite things when I first moved to Texas. Of course, I had to learn to tell them no mustard and I'm very sad that I can no longer eat them...still they are awesome!!! Double meat, extra cheese, mayo instead of mustard, extra pickles and nothing else on the burger is my fave. Their fries are also great!

I like Burger King and went through a phase when I was expecting my first where it was my go-to Friday meal. It was always some king of Whopper with extra cheese, extra pickles and everything else on it. Still, I prefer Whataburger, Freddy's, Five Guys, and Culver's. And while my waistline and overall health thanks me for it, I can no longer eat any of it. :(
