Well my Disney hotel would have to be a tomarrowland theme, but besides that its already made its called contemporary. Maybe for anyother idea a pirate themed hotel would be cool too, and when I mean pirate I dont just mean pirates the ride but peter pan too.

a hotel based on PoTC both ride and movie would be awesome.the rooms area could be divided into 2 buildings, 1 is black pearl themed, that could have jack sparrow, barbossa and various other pirates themeing and the other could be the HMS dauntless, and could be all themed like the old english navy seen in the movies.and the lobby and resauraunt area could be port royal, and it could have a big bay(meant to be port royal bay) where you could sail your own sail boats, go fishing and stuff.oh and they could build the pearl and the dauntless and you could pay to 'sail' on board them and they could be like 2 different, floating restaurants or some thing.:king:

BTW that was all of of the top of my head, hense the bad grammar:D

CAVE OF WONDERS!!!! there ya go! Yea I really think that would be a really interesting resort. You could have a restaurant up high with a magic carpet ride theme. Have the lights ont he ceiling like at the rainforest cafe with the clouds and stars.

Disney's WinterSummerland Resort. Based off the Blizzard Beach area and minigolf course. The main resort would be a ski-lodge with all details relating to surf and sun (cut outs in window shutters, palm trees with lights, etc.). The main attraction will be a large indoor skating rink that will also serve as a dinner show at night. Like MK, this will actually be set one story up from ground level. The skating rink will overlook the pool area. It actually will jut out slightly from rocks below it where melting "ice" will cascade into the pool area below. Around the pool sit the "Cabins" and "Cabanas" (both appropriately themed on either side). These are smaller buildings that house four suites each. Similar to WS, they surround the large pool area which features a rocky "slopes" and diving area on the cabins side and a large beach on the cabana side. There are also two rings of cabins/cabanas behind the main group that surround a themed quiet pool (one with palm trees and the other set in a pine forest). Dining includes dinner with the rotating ice show (the WinterSummer show), Degrees - a table service restaurant focusing on trendy items in a menu that rotates with the change from winter to summer. The decor in the restaurant also changes (prjection technology and robotics) between ski and snow scenes and pine trees to artistic palm trees and beach scenes. The specialties will often include combinations of warm and cold dishes (temperature or spice). There is a quick stop stand called Flurries, focusing on snacks especially of the frozen variety, themed toward a giant igloo (although not as cold), and Shades provides sundries and shopping (looks like a series of boardwalk store fronts). The Solstice Room which sits right between the cabins and cabanas provides a casual counter service eatery. Similar to Seasons at The Land, it focuses on seasonal items to the winter and summer (although both are available all year round).
This is good, why not try and move the Country Bears here? They were originally intended for a ski lodge in the first place … extend the show and now you have a dinner show.

I think an All-Star/Pop type Value Resort could be themed after the lands in the Magic Kingdom. It would be pretty cool. The lobby would be a small castle. And the buildings would be located in the same general areas in relation to the castle as they are in the park. Main Street U.S.A. would be mostly shops and restaurants (like the Boardwalk) in a row leading up to the lobby. There would be suites located above the shops and restaurants looking out to the castle.

Another idea I've thought about would be a Bavarian themed Moderate or Deluxe hotel. We have Polynesia, the Caribbean, Central America, the Deep South, Africa, Northeast and Midwestern US represented, but no Europe.

What's up with that?

I think maybe a mediterranian theme hotel would be cool. You can have sections of the hotel themed after Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Egypt. i think that would be cool. maybe event ancient themes intead featuring ancient architecture. I think ancient egypt would be cool w/ like obelisks and pyramids. And Maybe the main area with Check in Could be called the Colosseum or however its spelled. They could have 1 resturaunt serving Spanish, Italian, and Greek food. Then they could have a lounge and pool side bar and grill. The pool could be themed after the Ancient Roman baths and the gift shop could be called the Forum. They would have statues of the ancient gods like Zues, Apollo, Mars, Venus, Osirus, and Amon Ra. I have always been big on ancient history so i think that would be cool. Maybe even vacation club rooms too cuz im a member of the vacation club. lol.

I dont like the idea of a resort themed to a character/ride franchise, so far Disney hotels have been themed generally to geographic regions and/or moments in time. They seek to emulate the past (or the future, though until the last refurb of the contemp it looked more like the future viewed from the 80's).

Though my first instinct would be to build Westcot (all or nothing, the entire theme park as envisioned in the Jim Hill articles), barring that I would give my hotel an Asian theme. Calm and relaxing tranquil gardens, small bungalow type buildings, asian theme restaurants (quick service, convenience store, moderatly priced sushi boat/conveyor belt restaurant, expensive hibacchi restaurant with afternoon tea, dragon pool (though markedly different from PO) and an infinity edge quiet pool (overlooking bay lake in the spot where the grand mediteranean was supposed to have gone). Maybe have the lobby be pagoda shaped, though that may be a little culturally insensitive. Dark woods and red/golds/greens/dark blues would be the main color schemes.

While I would love a resort themed to ToT or HM (or both!), I agree that if another one were to be opened it would have to be based on a geographical area of the globe. I love the ideas of a desert or asian influenced resort too! However, if I had my way I would make a moderate resort tied to the extraordinary castles and palaces of Europe. A building for Versailles, with a square modeled after the gardens there. Another could be modeled after the the classic Irish/Scottish castles, with a Stonhenge square. There could be a castle from Germany, and even a B__________gham Palace building.

i am from philly and love my hometown. and while a 'philly' themed resort might not be the best idea (could they have a murder a day at a disney resort?) i was thinking that some kind of colonial themed resort would be really kool. i've always felt that the american adventure/liberty square areas of the parks kind of got the short end of the stick - even though we ARE in the US already, we all know that the US ROCKS, so i think that a colonial themed resort could really be a great addition to the world.

I've always been intrigued by the unbuilt Persian resort that was to have opened in 1973 but was never built. Ancient Persia usually gets shorted in relation to its Greek neighbors and eventual conquerors, but it was a very advanced and beautiful culture whose mark has been left on every country in the Middle East today, from Iran (obviously) to Russia. It would be great to stay in a recreation of Persepolis, and Disney already has experience with the theme, since Adventureland in Disneyland Paris has many Persian motifs.

I always thought a Haunted Mansion themed hotel would be cool. As far as Egyptian i probably would not stay there its just not my style.
