These prices are getting insane
Getting?These prices are getting insane
If it's still there...Getting?
I'll say this: with the way things are being run, I call dibs on Tower of Terror when the "Going out of Business! Total Liquidation! Everything Must Go!" signs go up in January.
This is nuts. I can now probably rent a car and eat dinner outside of wdw each day for cheaper. $60 a person? Wow.
I think we need at least two more threads about buffet pricing increases please

34.99 is not the child price but the low end/off-peak Adult price.FYI @gmajew just checked buffet prices and they are showing as $59.99!!!, I'm going to check as well - Another Glitch in the website ???
Gahhhhh As of RIGHT NOW 8 June 2016 at 1714H Chef Mickeys is showing 34.99 child/59.99 Adult for dinner.

Surge pricing and the price difference between breakfast, lunch and dinner is the reason for the price range shown at the buffets. There is no need to assume. It is simple supply and demand. Disney knows the demand is going to go up during certain times of the year and people will pay more.Ok, let's assume surge pricing is the reason. I can look right now and book a Disney resort at any time of year and right there on the screen see what the rate will be for the time period I'm going to book. Value, Regular, Peak, etc. it tells me the price I'm going to pay if I book today. Understanding there is some fluctuation in menu ingredient pricing, is it really enough to affect the margin on pricing in a meaningful way when your're talking these already high prices? How can i know when making those 180 day ADR's exactly what i'll be paying? Is it listed anywhere other than the range? Do i have to wait until i'm onsite and it's too late to cancel without $10/person penalty to know the price?

If you call and ask they will tell you - thats the closest Ive ever got.Surge pricing and the price difference between breakfast, lunch and dinner is the reason for the price range shown at the buffets. How do you know what you will be paying?....Honestly, you can't.
To my knowledge Disney has never released a schedule with exact pricing for the buffets on property. At best I have seen times when prices can be expected to be above minimum. Those are as follows.
If you are paying cash all you can do it use the highest price for the meal you will be eating (prices can be found on this site and many others) for your budget numbers if you are traveling during the afore mentioned dates. If you are using the dining plan then the price is irrelevant.
