If Disney keeps doing these things they are biting the hand that feeds them. Big time and I'm telling you as someone who is a dvc member and takes 1.5 to 2 week trips multiple times a year i am getting to the point of not going at all next year and taking a year off. I just don't have the same experience I used to especially with changes in the wrong direction.

Just this week I've had 2 quick service locations completely screw up our order and even got yelled at today by a lady I kept trying to point out that our receipt showed something different than what she was trying to give us for the kid meals. She barely spoke English though so not sure she understood but she could raise her voice and attitude in English pretty well

It's so tragical ....oops I mean magical

We are long term DVC as well, This year skipping parks entirely we are doing the WDW Marathon but no park visits are planned then either (or Disney dining for that matter).

Wait they are removing the desserts from both quick and table and increasing the price?

I'm here this week and ate at several big places including be our guest, Ohana, and others and I'm sorry but the food is just not worth it

The talk is that dessert is removed from QS and replaced with one snack. So for the regular DDP, there is no real change in value, you lose one dessert and gain one snack. But for the quick service plan where you lose two desserts and gain one snack, there is a loss in value.

I wrote an email to Disney on Monday morning about the 2 TS credits for character dining showed on the website. I just got this answer, thought I would share it:

"Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We have partnered with our Internet publishing team and corrected the errors. The only character dining location that takes 2 Table Service entitlements is Cindererlla's Royal Table."

By the way, the spelling mistake in Cinderella's Royal Table is theirs... Kind of a lame answer, but I should have expected it...!!!

Put this in the other thread, but maybe it's better here: maybe they're planning to raise TS credits from 1 to 2 only when people are buying a dining package. That would be more reasonable

We may not agree on much but I hope you agree that this is obscene.
In checking some of the other buffets, the price increase isn't anywhere near 50%, but it's still way to much for a buffet. As an example, Akershus says $35-$59.99 on the WDW website, but the old dinner price was already $46.85-$55.37, so not a huge increase there. Lunch was $41.53-$50.05, and breakfast was $40.46-$46.85. So guess it depends on when you go as to what it will cost.

In all cases still far too much money for what you receive in return.

Posting this in both Dining Cost threads because we have to have two for some reason:

...perhaps they just updated their "$" ranges?

The buffets are showing a $$-$$$ range at present time. The top range of $$$ is $59.99. This can be cross referenced with a signature restaurant such as Artist Point.

Or am I missing something that is showing actual cost of the buffet?

I wish I remembered what the crystal palace was last year. I know it did not go up 50% but for what you get it is to much.

Golden Corral is 16 bucks a person and mgm in Vegas is 36.99 on weekends for dinner. 29.99 during week.

As comparisons go.

just went on touring plans web site and they have CM at $47/adult for dinner and $42 for Crystal Palace.

I bet those prices reflect the current (before today's) prices.
