Browns Chicken Palatine mystery finally solved

Those of you not in IL probably have no idea what I'm talking about-- but I know there are a lot of you on here. Can you believe it? Did you think they would ever find the people?

It's been almost 9 1/2 years-- I was in high school when it happened, and I remember being terrified to go anywhere near the place, or any fast-food restaurant near closing time.

One of the men worked at a country club in 98 that my best girlfriend was working at that same year. She's away for the weekend, but I can't wait to talk to her and see if she knew him. I hope not. That would be difficult, emotionally.

OMG 9.5 years....and the ex-girlfriend turned him in!
I wonder if she will get the $100,000 reward?
This was always a very confusing case...the FBI..no one could figure this one out.... The ex called Palatine cops on Wednesday..they hunted him down....dragged him in and got a video taped confession..right then and there. CBS2 and NR 780 am caught wind of this...Thus it was all over the news...and the pieces fell into place...Friday they had there man and held a news conference.

The dude used to work there....but did not at the time of the killing spree...he went in right when they were about to close....they all new him...so they let him order his meal...and stick around after closing to eat...and we know what happened from there.
I always thought it was errie that they shut down the place...and a dry cleaners moved in...now it is torn down and a parking lot.

I thought they would never solve this case....but 9.5 years is alot better than never....now at least the family can have some closeure...and this will pay for his crimes.

Bastards plural-- there were 2 of them!

I doubt she will get the reward. A lot of the victims' families are pretty upset she never said anything sooner, although she was terrified for her own life. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Finally!!! I lived in Chicago when this all started, and now I'm in Sarasota. lol.

I used to live in Chicago too, I just got back from there today, so I was there when the news broke that they caught those guys. I don't know how the girlfriend could keep that secret for so many years. Hey, what happend with the guard who beat the one guy up in jail?

Was it just me, or was it butt cold this weekend?

The guard got fired, but I bet he's not TOO sorry!!!
