Orlando Sentinel
It's officially the M&Ms, but everyone in-the-know knows what that means:
Britney Spears will bring her much-hyped comeback performance to House of Blues on Saturday, May 19. Tickets, at $35, go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at hob.com.
Her quickie show earlier this month at House of Blues in San Diego inspired mixed reactions from fans, who lamented that it lasted only 20 minutes and complained that it looked like the pop star was lip-synching. A dark wig obscured that famous haircut that made all the tabloids as Britney and a quartet of female dancers did a handful of songs ("...Baby, One More Time" and "Toxic" among them) and split.
Who can resist the chance to see that here?
It was the singer's first public performance since her shortened Onyx Hotel Tour about three years ago. In recent times, she's more famous for incidents involving Kevin Federline, child car-seats and extreme hair-do makeovers.
Tickets for the San Diego show were going for as much as $1,200 amid the crowds outside the club, which pretty much guarantees another circus this weekend at HOB.
