Bridges, Umbrellas, and Pirates, Oh My!

A Few things here and there...

At Animal Kingdom, the bridge to increase guest flow to/from Festival of the Lion King has opened. You may recall the old stone bridge. The new one is to the left of it and it's much bigger. The old one is still open too. I didn't get pictures of that.

At Magic Kingdom, new Blue and Yellow umbrellas have been placed near the bridge to Adventureland:

And the new, sinister looking, Pirates sign is now up:

I REALLY, REALLY like that sign. I would hope that they put back up the signs on the building as well, but if not, I won't be complaining after looking at that.

I like the new sign...although the colors dont really match up (black & red..with peach colored concrete?) but we'll see how it works out. I cant wait till next weekend when we can finally see the new pirates ride.

How do you figure? It has the name of the attraction on it and nothing else. If it were promoting the movie it would have "Dead Mans Chest" or "Opening July 7th" but nothing like that is there. I don't understand how it can appear to be promoting the movie just because of the use of a specific font.

I LOVE it! I can't wait to go in July and see the changes. We're actually going again this weekend so I'll keep an eye out for any changes and post pics here. My oldest son's birthday is a pirate freak and we're taking him to WDW for his eleventh birthday in late July so by then, all the changes will be in place. (hopefully) Thanks for the updates!:wave:

I actually like the umbrellas...they're tropical...but if the best thing you have to complain about is umbrella colors...Disney must be doing something right.

Would it be better if it was over sunned and over oxidized faded earthtones??? I think they look okay. The one thing I hated about going to Six Flags last month was there are NO colors. Everything is way over faded. So 2 thumbs up for me for brightening and coloring the park. If you want bad colors, look at Space Mountian.
