Breathless & Chef's Table

Hey All!

I have read some posts here that are very helpful. So, the breathless is 90 days out at 7am? How difficult is it to get these reservations.... almost impossible? I've also heard a rumor that there are a group of people that call everyday and try to reserve these spaces only for their "special group". Is there any truth to that? Any other advice or tips would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

I think the OP is referring to the chefs table @ Victoria and Albert's. What that is is a private dinning area located next to the kitchen. The head chef will find out what you like don't like etc and custom make a 12-15 course meal complete with wine parings for you. They did a brief segment on this on the Disney weddings special on the food network as it is a very popular place to pop the question. I would love to know the cost and availability myself.

Wow! Thanks Yoda. I guess that is why I have never heard of it. The only kitchen I would be eating close to like that would be out back like Lady and the Tramp!

Breathless is the special boat you can book from GF to see Illuminations at Epcot. I've tried to book both Breathless and the Chef's Table for my trips to WDW and they're always reserved. BTW - my first post.

Breathless is a 24ft ChrisCraft reproduction runabout. (small yacht).

Both the boat and the chefs table are hard to book. My best advice on Breathless is start calling a few minutes before 7am, 90days out and keep hitting redial so you don't miss out. Its not like the pontoon boats where there are many to pick from.

Although much more expensive the Grand 1 Yacht was easier to book than Breathless (Probably because of the price tag (About $375+ $$ with catered dinner and butler)--but it was worth the one time splurge.

Good luck, both are great

Thank you all for the replies. I believe the breathless leaves from the Yacht & Beach and the Chef's Table (at Victoria & Alberts) is $215/pp + tax & tip (and includes wine pairings).

Yoda... what does "OP" stand for? Thanks!

It's actually not that much more (it's all relative)....Last I checked it was $125 per person (as compared to $95) plus wine pairings

$125 per person is definitely doable. Fortunately the wife and I can't stand wine so we wouldn't miss that part a bit.

The Chef's table is almost impossible to get. You have to call exactly 180 days out at the time the dining line opens. We had to call like 4 days in a row before getting it. There is only 1 chef's table a night.

The wine pairings are seperate. You can get just the dinner at the Chef's table without wine or get individual glasses of wine. Our meal was 10 courses.

You can't get the DDE discount on the chef's table. It is available for the V and A's regular dining room.
