The maintenance garage is just north of the MK, so not really in the boonies, as that area is occupied almost 24/7 by staff.

Do they travel through the boonies? Yes. There are remote wooded areas of property that the buses travel through as part of their routes. But unless they break down, they never stop and park in these remote areas. They're always at resorts, parks or designated bus queue areas if they're in holding.

I'm with SirG - it's gotta be an inside job. And my bets are that this was intentional, with good or legitimate intentions, but communication wasn't successful between all parties. Just a hunch.

Hope everything is alright, even though I go on the monorail all the time and go on the buses only when I go to DHS and AK. I can't believe what is happening with WDW lately.
Like the monorail crash, 3 deaths, Minnie Mouse and Typhoon Lagoon incidents. Oh my gosh!!

Did they confirm what non explosive/hazardous object it is?

My bet is he would search the hotties for IED's.

The area having staff 24/7 would seem to support SirGoofy in the "inside job" idea.

But someone is really gonna have a red face if all it was a failure to communicate that security was trying to catch some driver doing some non-scheduled stops!!!!!!

I hope all it is would be the poor communication and not something worse........

Reports that it was a transponder or transmitter would also seem to support this idea.

I highly doubt that it is anything more than a regular package. At least Disney security is taking the right measures with this. I hope it really is nothing serious.


Edit: That does seem pretty suspicious, being taped to the bottom of the bus.
