Breakfast ideas? (not character)

I discovered my new favorite breakfast at Wilderness Lodge last week. My husband had the big skillet with all the stuff, but I had a wonderful bowl of oatmeal with a mango smoothie to go. It lasted all the way to MGM. The next AM we shared a tray of stuff from the snack bar, and it cost more, and we were still hungry.

Y'all have any ideas for cheap and light, yet substantial breakfasts? (We'll talk about anything related to Disney, won't we?) Thanks

Well, banana-stuffed French toast at the Poly is a tradition with my family, but that's not cheap, I suppose....

Fresh fruit off the carts is one stop I like to make...You can people watch on a bench while you eat... Also, I like the quick breakfast sandwiches in Africa in AK. But my number one breakfast is a powerbar that I pack in my suitcase that holds me until I can eat a substantial Disney meal at lunchtime, then have a light dinner. Plenty of room for dessert that way!

I would suggest you try The Concourse Steakhouse at The Contemporary Resort.

They have a great breakfast menu at reasonable prices.

My wife and I always start out with the "Mickey Stickys".
They are a pastry served with butter and syrup.
Not real healthy mind you, but a great energy booster to help get you through a long busy day at the parks. :animwink:

They also have great steak and eggs for the carnivores in the family.

Lots of menu choices make this one of my familys favorite breakfast venues.:slurp:

Don't know if it's the same exact thing, but Boatwright's at Dixie Landings ( I just can't make myself call it POR) has banana stuffed french toast made with Texas toast that is magnificent. The Breakfast pizza at their food court's good too.

Bakery at the Boardwalk

Also have heard great things about the bakery over on the boardwalk near the Boardwalk Inn. Have not tried it myself, but I have read in other posts that it is quite good and offers good breakfast fare for those folks staying in that area of the resort.

mmmmmm, agreed there.

and boma's has a great breakfast. even though it is a bit more pricy.

at carribean beach, they have a decent breakfast for about 5 bucks. eggs, potatoes, bisuit, grits (if you want em. gross to me!) and sausage or bacon. and it is pretty tastey too!

Boma

Yeah, we did Boma, too. It was great stuff! I tried everything that I did not recognize and loved it all. It would have been nice to have some labels so I could tell my friends what to try...

Actually, the Boma buffet was a pretty good deal for the $$. We had a late Bfast and early dinner at Tony's and then did E-rides. Ohhhhhhhh.....only 4 months..... again.
