Currently, the Brazilian president is a fascist. And they’ve been in a recession for over 5 years and they have pretty large scale social and economic issue.

But yeah...they did successfully bribe the IOC a few years back

Perhaps instead of Brazil, they could do a 'South America' pavillion. They could have a Soarn' type ride over landmarks, The Amazon, Machu Pichu, Easter Island, Iguazu or Angel Falls, Cristo Redentor, etc..
