Braves may leave Disney after 2017

Disney just needs to lure Tampa away from St Pete and have them play all their regular season games at the Wide World of Sports as no one likes to visit the Trop, except we visiting team fans, but that's mostly just for Red Sox and Yankees series'.

Personally, Expand the Champions Stadium to have more seating capacity, and bring a MLB team for Orlando to have and use that as a "home base" per say

While lowering a professional team here is a great idea in my opinion… It really does not change that there are very few spring-training teams in Central Florida anymore.

The Astros are likely going to move when their lease is up in 2016 I think it is… The Washington nationals which are out by Melbourne, are also looking to move somewhere else in Florida.

The only teams close to Disney are the tigers in Lakeland, the Astros in Kissimmee and the nationals in Melbourne. Everyone else is around Tampa, around Fort Myers, or around Fort Lauderdale.

Which hotels do the players and coaches stay at during spring training?

This is how spring training died in SoFla.

Growing up, we had the Orioles in Miami, the Yankees in Fort Lauderdale and both the Braves and Expos in West Palm Beach with the Dodgers up a bit further in Vero. ... in the late 80s, the Mets moved to Port St. Lucie.

Now, there really is no spring training in SoFla with the Marlins/Cardinals the closest in Jupiter (far north Palm Beach County for those who don't know the area).

The biggest problem is Arizona keeps offering $$$ for teams to move ... I do see the day when the Grapefruit League no longer exists. I mean, no Dodgers in DodgerTown?!?!

Wait! The Yankees left Fort Lauderdale? I am always the last to find out these things. Guess I need to cancel my reservations.

MLB will not let any more teams move to Arizona.

You still have the (door)Mets in PSL

Champion Stadium is the least guest centric spring training facility that I've been too. Who ever designed it did an awful job.

I disagree to an extent. We lucked out and got seats right at the net for one game and had seats near the top on first base side just beyond the bag. Both were fine for taking in a game but I'm a Braves fan so that may have played into it.

Schuerholz has said they will not be going to Arizona. It seems they want to remain in Florida, hopefully they can work out a deal with Disney.

Obviously you've never been to George Steinbrenner field, then.

This is just a sad commentary on how ST in Central Florida has been decimated. I don't blame the Braves if they look to the West Coast or consider moving ck down to WPB.

Seeing most teams are on the West Coast and the possible moves of the gNats and the Astros, it doesn't make sense for the Braves to stay here. To whoever said that the park isn't "guest centric," you clearly had a bad experience because I've never had one in my time there. The Stein in Tampa is a lot worse.
