i wasnt sure where else to put this topic, so here goes. ive been reading the tips on allearsnet, about the inflated prices for bottled water. i know every amusement park is like that too, but every one ive been to (six flags, busch gardens) they dont allow you to bring bottles into the park! ive read many many people saying that theyve brought bottled water into wdw and had cms refill it for them. do the security guards really not care if you do bring in water?

I bring water in every time, and have never had an issue with them about it. Most restautants and CS places will give you free water too.

Bottled water is allowed, Glass bottles are not (although I don't know where you'd get a glass bottle of water...lol)

On a side note, we're planning a trip to Cedar Point this year (don't flame me, it's my sisters graduation present, and she picked the roller coaster capitol of the world...), and I read online that you can only bring in "sealed" bottles of water. I guess they don't want anyone with vodka and water? Lol, I just thought it was strange.

If you're just going to refill your bottle, why even bother. Just drink out of the water fountains.

It's the same water.

Your nose and taste buds may be in a malfunction. WDW water is the only water that tastes and smells horrible. We found a way around that. You either get the britta travel bottle, or the pure filter system. Their small and can filter at least 30 gallons of water. It gets rid of the smell and the taste right away. A blessing to say the least.

Yes, but it's better to refill a bottle and have it with you than having to stop at fountain after fountain. And acutally, some water fountains are WAY better than others (have colder water). Some are gross. So find one with cold water, and fill up the bottle there.

Its sulphur water and its found all over the place, but it seems more so down south.

We always take bottled water into the parks. We usually take a little out and freeze what's left. That way it stays cold longer.

No, it's Pirates of the Caribbean water.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself to an inside joke. The sulphur smell is really strong in Pirates, so we always joke that the water in Orlando is really from the ride. Ever drink at the water fountain outside of Pirates? It is the worst on the planet, but we drink out of it everytime. It's tradition.

Disney definitely has pretty gross water...but if it's summer and it's 95 degrees out, I'll settle for it! I'm certainly not gonna pay $2 for several bottles each day, nor am I gonna walk into the park each morning w/ 10 lbs of water...I'm tired by day's end as is, let alone w/ the extra weight!

I find that most water tastes fine if you cool it, though. Like the water up here in Connecticut is disgusting at room temp., but if I put it in the fridge for a few hours, it tastes fine--as long as you can get past the stuff that floats in the water...New Haven rocks!

Hmmm... Apparently we're pretty spoiled here in Massachusetts. We have pretty good tap water.

Actually, I find that in the theme park/amusement park world, Disney's bottled soda and water is CHEAP! $2 for a bottle of soda or water isn't too much higher than you'd pay at the convenience store on the corner back home. (In fact, Disney *lowered* their price a couple years ago. It used to be $2.50)
Compare that to the $3-$4 for a bottle of soda at Six Flags, the ballpark or your local movie theater (where there's NO outside food allowed period...)

+1 This is what we do, nary a problem.
