How many in your family? Kids? What ages? Boys or girls? Are you getting the dining plan? Have you been to WDW before?

Sorry for all of the questions but if you give some detail you'll get a lot more input.

It depends on a lot of factors. If price is a factor, look at values.

If price isn't a factor, stay at the epcot resorts for easy access to Epcot and DHS. Boardwalk, BC, YC. Out of those, I prefer BC because of the great pool and short walk to Epcot.

If you want to stay on the monorail (and with all of the issues lately, I wouldn't), Contemp, Poly, GF are all great resorts. I prefer Contemp just because you can walk back and forth to MK. I love hotels that let you walk to parks easily.

A 6yo boy... :D ... fun fun fun!!!

For him, I vote the resort with the best pool / play area... to me that means, Kidani or YC/BC/BCV

The Villas are incredible, if you haven't tried them yet, you might want to research.

All depends on budget! Most would recommend a deluxe, but that dosnt help if your budget allows for a value or deluxe!
Personally I don't think you can go wrong at any level, each hotel has a pool and playground. The values are fun for kids with larger then life disney icons, each resort also has pool side activities for kids.

We have done All-Star values but have graduated to pors. Our boys getting a little older. Port Orleans resort is moderate resort and is a little more quiet compared to All-Star resort. with you previous trips I am sure you knew that. also love love love the pasta your way at the food court. have fun..... that is what you need to do.

your son is still young enough that he might enjoy the art of animation room theming. you might want to take a look at that and see if it's an option for you. other than that, the port orleans resorts are a lot of fun and a bit quieter. if a deluxe is in your budget, yacht & beach have fun pools. animal kingdom lodge was one of our favorites and has great theming if he's into animals.
