Booking Dining through member services!?!?

Any else had problems booking dining through member services? Do they have a different allotment of seats available?

I decided to use member services for the first time to book my dining ADRs and was told that all of my choices were not available. I was a bit frustrated so I decided to call 407-WDW-DINE just for my satisfaction.

I got everything that I asked for with no problem.

Just curious if this has happened to anyone else??

Hmm, I actually had no problems booking through member services. I didn't even know we could until this trip, so it was my first time doing so. But I was really impressed with the service. My experiences calling disneydining were never as good as the one I had using member services. She was so pleasant and helpful. I was able to get everything i wanted, except le cellier, we had to look at three different days to get it, but eventually we found a time that would work. I really couldn't be more pleased with the call. I even emailed them to let them know how much I appreciated the service.

Member services advisers use the exact same system and see the exact same amount of availability as the folks at DRC (407wdwdine). If you're calling from a land line rather than a cell, calling member services (an 800 number) is probably the only benefit to calling them.

From my experience using the system and booking for people there are ways to cheat the system a bit. so say you are looking for a party of 3, when you get to the restaurant you'll be sitting at a table that holds four so parties of three might not show as available but four might be so some advisers might book you as a party of four so that you can get the reservation. Technically its wrong but it got you your reservation and it's filling tables at the restaurant.

Personally I think the advisers at member services are nicer, but the advisers at DRC are commissioned based so the faster they book you and end that dining call with you, the faster they can get to a call that is booking a room reservation. just my two cents
