Congrats! I would recommend reading these boards, don't be discouraged by the doom and gloom crowd, you in for a great trip! Just make sure you plan some ADRs so you can enjoy some nice sit down meals. And the unofficial guide is a great source of info.

Awesome..Yes no DDP..Not a Disney owned resort..However you will not go hungry with a great selection of eateries..I would recommend an ADR for Shulas..Great location also..Check out the Dolphin restaurant choices on Disney web sites..;)...

Read some trip reports, too. We always go for 2 weeks and love the way we don't feel rushed. We are at rope drop each morning, use Fast Passes as necessary and often eat offsite. If you think you might visit again inside of a year, get Annual Passes, otherwise get Hopper tickets. They include parking. If you have a car it's sometimes easier and time saving to hop parks.

thankyou for all your comments, has anyone been to the dessert party? do you need to make a reservation? how far is the mk from the dolphin hotel? x
No to the dessert party. We got priority fireworks viewing last year,a seated area right next to the dessert area..It's a perk for UK visitors..Yes you will need to book in advance..Dolphin to Mk distance...10 mins at a guess..:inlove:

Yes it is fun. Food goes fast and you need resies which are very hard to get. 30-60 days out they get published. It's a waiting game.
