Some great stories here! Now my own.
The last day of our trip in March of 2012, we were heading in to MK about to go thru security, but I thought it looked really crowded and convinced everyone we should go to Epcot instead. Later that evening as we were waiting to board our plane home, I discovered that Storybook Circus and the new Dumbo had opened. My family still hasn't let me foget it, and nor will they ever listen to me again on where to go.

You have to go! There is good reason I tip so well at that place.

The steaks are Kansas City steaks and all the seafood is pretty good. More than anything, the respect shown by the staff from Japan is truly amazing. I visited Tokyo for a week and can confirm they match the Japanese culture perfectly. We even arrived at 12pm (they open at 12) and received the special welcome ceremony where the entire staff welcomes you to Japan and all bow for nearly 20 seconds as a sign of ultimate respect. They asked about our trip to Tokyo and were genuinely proud of high highly we spoke of their beautiful country and incredible people.

Truly a great meal and world class service and respect. It is very Americanized so I'm sure she'd enjoy at least getting the chicken.

I'm in love with the Japanese culture. Always smiling, so friendly and respectful. Plus I just looked at the menu and I didn't realize the food was so American-ized. I'll have to see what the Mrs. thinks!

Almost boneheaded - but not quite.

My wife are I are at WDW for F&W for 4 days. Our days are packed with events. We wish we could have had more time, but 4 days was all we get arrange around our schedules.

This was also the first time we had the new magic bands. We also planned to buy DVC discounted AP's at the gate because we would be returning this summer.

We got in at around 1:00 AM Wed night / Thurs morning and drag ourselves out of bed Thursday morning. I say to myself, these magic bands are awesome, I just need to throw my license in my pocket if I need ID, and a credit card and a few dollar cash just in case - I can leave my wallet in the room.

As we are wakling up to EPCOT bag check, it hits me. Oh crap, how am I going to get my DVC discount on our APs without my DVC member card - which is in my wallet in the room. I envisioned wasting almost 2 hours riding busses to get my card. We decided to see what they could do at ticketing, and I was able to access the DVC member website on my smartphone and show the CM my member number and name on the site, and that was good enough for her to give us our discounted APs.

So it was a boneheaded thing, but turned out to have no impact. :)

Was a Star Wars weekend in 2013 in the Darth Maul doing some of the photo ops with the kids, new camera in hand taking tons of pictures in the sports mode so I can take like 3 pictures a second. Went through the whole line of 5 characters and was outside and going to review the pictures when nothing showed up to review. Before are trip I was testing the new camera and I forgot to put the memory card back in the camera. So two hours of waiting and no pictures I felt like such a fool. I felt so bad because I made the kids wait for this. They told me it was okay and they would wait again just to make me happy, I told them we will just have to get other picture through out the park because I didn't want to make them wait in that line again but after I put in the spare card in the camera. Later that night I read the manual and found a setting that the camera will not take pictures if no card was installed, so I turned that feature on. Live and learn!!!!!!!!!!!

On our last trip i was unfortunate enough to end up in a wheel chair for a couple of days. I was giving my relatives a break from pushing me around and was steering myself round one of the shops in EPCOT, turns out i'm not too great at it and i ended up crashing into one of the shelves, knocking some of the items off. luckily it was nothing fragile and the staff were lovely about it, but i was so embarrassed, i wheeled out of there as fast as i could! (without knocking anything else over, phew!)

<<<<<<Drizella extends her hands towards my son, and he takes it and kissed it like gentlemen do. All three of them were taken back by the fact that he knew exactly what to do(he was 8 at the time)>>>>

Reminds me of the time when the Queen of Hearts walked up to me and extended her hand. I had no idea what she wanted. She put it out about 3 more times until I figured it out. She didn't talk because she had the head costume piece on.

Not so much AT the park, but in town for it. Staying at the Holiday Inn West Gate, IIRC. Evening before, I'm in the pool. At one point I dive in and twist my neck just right (or more like, wrong). Couldn't turn my head to one side for two or three days. Went to the parks and walked around like penguin. Ugh.

Not a bonehead moment in the parks...but on a WDW trip. We were on a big family trip and had planned two days visiting off property theme parks. One day was Sea World. It was my job to figure out the opening times and schedule. We already had our tickets. We were staying at Movies and I asked the front desk how long they thought it would take us to drive to Sea World....I then add about 30 minutes to the time because my husband's family is notoriously slow and late. I MISREAD the opening time. So between my add on time, the wrong opening time and everyone being ready EARLY...we arrived at Sea World A FULL HOUR before even the parking lot attendants were there! So we were the first two cars at the gates....needless to say lots of unhappy adults. lol

Our last trip was 2 weeks after New Fantasyland opened. I was taking hundreds of pictures of detailed shots with very few people in them. It got to the point my wife became annoyed with me. (Rightly so) I slowed down on the scenic picture taking and concentrated on getting our 15 year old daughter in the shots. I ended up with about 20 Castle shots, some with our daughter in them, but none with the wife and myself! I didn't realize it until we were driving back up north. I was more upset than anyone. Thank goodness for Photoshop! I cropped a picture from EPCOT, took it and put us in front of the Castle. A sunny day in Epcot is just as magical as a sunny day in the Magic Kingdom. (Although if someone looked very carefully at the shadows, they may discover my solution.)

Oh wait......I check the LCD screen and what do I see? The green arrow giving me the okay to record. So for the first 12 minutes of the parade I thought I was recording, including my shot at redemption for "the kiss".

I can't tell you how many times in how many places I have done this - thought I was recording something, only to hit what I think is the Stop button and see the screen tell me I am NOW recording. :banghead:

Got a brand spanking new camcorder to take videos of (1) the new FoF parade, (2) fireworks, and (3) anything else I could think of. So, we go Memorial Day weekend for our first Star Wars weekend and we are psyched! Didn't get the special viewing tickets for the parade and fireworks (and after reading some of the postings, was glad). Got to DHS around 11:15ish, thinking, 'we are going to have a bad spot for viewing the parade, but what the heck we are here!'... But no, just as we walked in, there was no one standing around that little shop selling hats, etc., after you go through the turnstiles. No one. And PRIME viewing for the parade as it comes down Hollywood Boulevard. Plus, we could stand in the shade. So, here comes Mickey dressed in his Jedi best. WE'VE got OUR Jedi robes on and as he makes the turn RIGHT IN FRONT OF US, he sees us in our robes, points at both of us and waves. And we get all the other stars, including Warrick Davis turning RIGHT IN FRONT OF US, seeing us in our robes and waving to us. And I'm all excited 'cause I'm using my new camcorder to take this excellent video I will watch over and over again. Until I realize I didn't press the damn record button on the screen.... :banghead:

Still haven't told my daughter.
