Boma

While the food might be a little more exotic than most resturants in America (and I stress "a little"), most of the food is stuff that most folk eat all the time anyway, with just some different spices. They have steak, they have chicken, they have soups and salads, they have potatoes and vegetables. Again, just maybe with some different spices than you're used to getting.

My fiancee and I went to WDW three different times in the course of a year, and Boma was one of only two resturants we went to every single time. We enjoy it that much...

But if I'm completely wrong, and you wind up hating it, there is always the consolation prize, the Plan B, the Foolproof Safe Zone that IS...THE KID'S AREA! Some chicken fingers, green beans, and the Best Mac and Cheese Not Made By Mom...maybe it's not 25-dollar mac and cheese (or whatever they charge now) but you won't go hungry.

I've been there and the food is very good. However, for me who is a picky eater, basically, I hate coconut and a number of dishes I would have like to have had had it in them. There was still plenty for me to eat there, without having to go to the children's section. For me, it's a place I'd go back to once every few years and that is just because of the coconut issues, but if I could get zebra domes someplace else, I'd be in heaven, they are the best dessert ever and worth going just for them. I'd recommend you give it a try.

We've eaten there for breakfast and dinner. We enjoy the food. You can avoid the more exotic fare if you want. Boma is arranged in stations, with all the salads at one place, grilled meats in another, etc. There are some exotic flavors to sample, like mango or paw paw salad dressings, watermelon rind salad, pap (sort of like grits, if you're from the south). The grilled meats are very good, and the desserts are wonderful. Try the zebra domes! I love the roasted tomato soup. There is a children's table with chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, etc., if you can't find anything else for those picky eaters.

After dining, walk out to Arusha rock to see the animals. You might want to spend time looking around the resort. There are a lot of interesting African artifacts on display.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't care for Boma at all. We went with our friends, all adults and none of us liked it. The food wasn't good, some of it was cold (that was supposed to be hot), and the choice was horrible. Maybe we were there on an off night, who knows? But, we went away hungry. The Zebra Domes were very good, and the Prime Rib was good also, but those two things do not a meal make.

I would still recommend trying it though. You might love it, and if not then you don't have to go back again.

In my opinion Boma is great. I wouldn't think anybody would have trouble finding something they liked. My problem was I liked everything and ate so much I felt sick. I think they even have like spagetti and other "blue chip" foods if you don't like the more exotic stuff.

Thanks you all i think I'll be okay with the food. i've learned over the years goin to Disney I should try new things.
Thanks for all your Help.
My policy is to always try new tastes (apart from mad hot spicy). There are plenty of new things there to try, take a small portion and if you don't like it then don't finish it. When you find something new that you like you will be so happy you did.

For what it's worth they also cater for those who only enjoy tasteless burgers and such - there is a pod that has mac and cheese, fries, burger bites and similar dull fare.
