Hi

I wish to make an advanced dining reservation for Boma in May.
We will be staying off-site - but meeting friends at the restaurant that are staying onsite.

As I am off site will I be able to make the ADR?

Thanks

Absolutely! ADRs can be made by anyone, regardless of where you're staying. The only advantage to staying in a resort is you can book 180 days in advance of your arrival date for your whole stay [up to ten days] if you have a confirmed reservation.

I just wanted to say - great pick of a restaurant! It's our favorite by far! If you're still at AKL at 9 p.m. go out to the savanah viewing area and take advantage of the night vision animal viewing!

But how far in advance can you make ADRs if you're NOT staying on-site? I think that's the question. Personally, I didn't know staying on-site was a pre-req for making reservations. I figured there must be locals who make reservations for meals in Disney resorts

180 days from the day you want the reservation. If you're off-site, you would have to call 180 days n advance of each day of your stay to book as early as possible. On-site, you can book up to ten days' of reservations when you call 180 days in advance of your arrival date [thus, up to 189 days in advance for the tenth day of your stay].

Except for real heavy-booking periods, the advantage of having a confirmation of on-site reservation isn't that significant.
