I know it's hard to elaborate on something "inspired by", and especially in food terms where describing anything tends to be subjective, but is there any chance I could get a little more detail on how it differs from Indian food in general?
I guess I'm just looking at keywords like Tandoori, Samosas, Paneer, Naan, that pretty much is what made us make the switch.
I don't think we'd be unhappy with either choice really.
In the 1930s and 40s a lot of Indian people migrated to Africa. They cooked their food with new spices and flavors. As their culture evolved on a new continent, so did the food.
It will not taste like any Indian restaurant you have ever been to. Even the breads are drastically different.
They don't have things like Chicken Tikka. There is a section on the menu called African cooking with Indian flavors. Try those items.
