Body Wars to reopen for SUMMER?

I was just accepted to be a cast member at Future World attractions this summer, and I was told that I might be placed on Body Wars. I said that I was surprised that Body Wars will be open this summer, and they said that it probably would. Obviously that means Wonders of Life will be open as well, although perhaps not all of it. And of course nothing is definite. Just thought I'd let all of you Wonders of Life fans know!

Very interesting. I doubt it would be open for my trip in a couple of weeks, but that is ok. I got to say my goodbye to the WoL on my last trip where I spent hours upon hours there. I really enjoyed it more then than ever.

Maybe it'll be open to special parties only. For those types of things they still need cast members to operate the rides, right?

I think the last time they opened it, they had to find the last few folks in Future World (mostly Energy and Test Track) who knew how to operate it and also steal a few trainers/cm's from Star Tours to make sure it all went ok.

I dunno.. just doesn't seem likely but the summer looks very busy.

This would be interesting since some people had posted on here earlier that WoL was basically gutted

I really wish someone with power at WDW would look at how the landscpaing between Energy and Wonders looked like when the pavilion opened.

Either Exxon hated Metlife, or they let the trees jsut grow too big. The whole area used to be open and you could see both pavilions easily.

Depends which side of Future World we're talkin' about. From my experience, West side was not so grand. That's all I'll say though...

Perhaps Disney is just waiting for a health related sponsor to do the place up nice. How about Aetna? or Blue Cross Blue Shield? Or perhaps the big pharmaceutical companies wants to sponsor. We all know they've got plenty of money.

In my opinion, I think they redo the place and have a large attraction like Body Wars but something a bit more advanced using new technology. Definitely keep a program like The Making of Me. That was such a good video, it really explained childbirth in a non-confrontational way.

I can't imagine them putting CMs at Body Wars with the staffing nightmare that is M:S being right next door. With the number of CMs required to staff it skyrocketing, Space needs all the people it can get. They're stealing people from other attractions as it is.

funny thing, I got on here today to ask specifically what is going on with wonders of life, and where are the pictures? I saw a CM walking over towards it when I was there in feb. and I assume went inside. So, since the last time I saw it was in 92, anyone got some cool interior shots? or even what it looks like today in there? The sign sure is badly faded...

Or perhaps the big pharmaceutical companies wants to sponsor. We all know they've got plenty of money.

I keep seeing quotes similar to this regarding a "Big" pharmaceutical company sponsoring WOL. They always have a similar tone of some "Big" evil company ripping people off for medication and hording bazillions of dollars in their money pit like Scrooge McDuck. Do you people have any idea how much R&D money gets spent developing new drugs? Or, how much money gets wasted in defending themselves from lawsuits (or losing) because a drug that helps millions of people has a bad side effect on a couple of hundred. Sure, they are profitable, but that's the purpose of a company. If it weren't for profit, the innovation in medicine wouldn't happen.

FY 2005 Net Income
Merck - $4.6 Billion (They spent $7.4 Billion on R&D)
Disney - $2.5 Billion

Maybe Disney which is obviously part of "Big" Media can afford to sponsor WOL on it's own. And, no, I don't work for or have any affiliation with any pharmaceutical company.
