Body Wars to reopen for SUMMER?

Quote: Or perhaps the big pharmaceutical companies wants to sponsor. We all know they've got plenty of money.

While it's true they make a lot, I use to work as a consultant for a big pharmaceutical company. You also need to remember that they do clinical studies of the drugs before they are given to the public. Most studies don't last just a month or 2, I have seen many documents of following the patients from the start of treatment until their either unfortunate death or at least for 2 yrs or more in some cases. It's true about the lawsuits as well.

I do hope that someone comes in and sponsors the WOL type of theme again though. We really need to have a health theme still.

I haven't been on Body Wars in years. I hope it is open this summer. I really need to see Wonders of Life again before they gut it. Thanks for the info.

I have to be one of the few people that really dont care for BW. I feel the same for Star Tours its just the ride mechanism for me.

I have to agree with you. When in WDW I completely skip over Star Tours, it's just something I'm not interested in. Perhaps the same can be said for Body Wars, this is why I haven't seen it in years.

Its odd, i LOVE Star Tours (hey, i have the word JEDI in my nick, whatdya' expect?) but i really don't like Body Wars, it always seemed much more jerky and rough than ST, maybe it just never got as much maintainance because it wasn't as popular?
Though it is fun to go laugh at Captain Greasymullet and his "Thriller" jacket!

I can't imagine them putting CMs at Body Wars with the staffing nightmare that is M:S being right next door. With the number of CMs required to staff it skyrocketing, Space needs all the people it can get. They're stealing people from other attractions as it is.

It only takes 2 people to operate BW's, and two for dome. That's how it ran before it died.

That's not very logical. If that were the case, there would be no breakers. AND dome takes more than two people... 1 for making of me, 1 for cranium load, 1 for cranium theater. That's 3 alone without anyone to break those cm's. I'm not sure about BW.

When I was there last week I talked to a CM and asked him when they were tearing down WOL and he said they weren't. He also said they would be opening it this summer. I don't know if I believe him or not but either way, just a note.

In that case I think they would keep the Making of Me.

As for the pavilions poor attendace. With Viagra as the sponsor I don't think they would have any trouble getting it up. :lookaroun

So where are all people who claimed WoL was "gutted," Body Wars "removed," etc, etc??
:veryconfu

I expected this thread to be a full-out fight of "I know a guy who...[A: said it's gutted] or [B: said it will open this summer]".
[/instigates fight  ]

Is the prosecution re-reviewing its sources??

Hi Everyone: I took the Backstage Magic Tour on May 9th. While we were driving around the service roads of Epcot, we were told by the CM running the tour that Wonders of Life pavillion was closed because they did not have a sponsor. She knew of no plans to remove the pavillion. She also told us that they open the Pavillion during high attendance periods. Hope that helps!:sohappy:
