Sure. There can't possibly be two Bob Chapeks.looked at the account. Seems fake. There's another one that seems fake too.

This numbskull writer for Deadline trying to groom CFO Christine "fat shamer" McCarthy as the next CEO after Iger. Don’t fall for Deadline and their stupidity!
Disney’s Christine McCarthy Emerges As Top CEO Contender To Succeed Bob Iger; CFO Was King Killer Who Took Down Bob Chapek
After delivering the fatal blow to last CEO, the Mouse house CFO is now a top bet to be the next CEOdeadline.com
Honestly, don't be shocked if this happens.
"Zenia Mucha, who led Walt Disney Co.’s powerful public relations machine for nearly two decades, is joining social video platform TikTok.
"Mucha will board the Chinese-owned company in the new role of chief brand and communications officer, TikTok said Thursday."...
Former Disney PR chief Zenia Mucha to head TikTok communications at a pivotal moment
The former head of global communications for Walt Disney Co., Zenia Mucha, who also has experience in politics, will take over communications at video-sharing social video platform TikTok.www.latimes.com
And? I’m not shocked at anything coming out of corporations, let alone TWDC. Having worked in Corp America now for 30 years I’ve seen it all.Well, none of that aged well. Especially for someone so invested in Botox.
Christine McCarthy is a hack. She's always been a corporate hack.
She got shown the door, just like Cynthia Harriss and Latondra Newton and Catherine Powell.
But sure, let's pretend it's for "personal medical reasons". Which is the 2023 version of "spending more time with family".
Once revealed as a back stabber there will be no trust from others. She went behind Chapek's back and got him removed as CEO. I'm sure Iger sees her as a threat that would do the same to him if he's underperforming (which he is).
Or... her husband is genuinely very ill just like two major newspapers reported.
But that's not as good a story as a juicy rumor or conspiracy theory.
major Disney executive leaves the company during its financial decline, after openly struggling with leadership resulting in the CEO being booted, and at the same time as other executives are also leaving the company. Consider the timing. Why is she leaving now? Is it just a coincidence that she's leaving when Disney is a mess, when other execs are also leaving and when she has personally struggled with leadership? Or is there perhaps a rhetorical throughline here that we can grasp at?

It's still pretty far from breaking even. The Little Mermaid didn't do anything expect maybe break even and added some chump change.
The more executives who are shown the door, the better. Investors are losing faith and based on box office numbers, so are consumers.
His theme park decisions during and after Chapek's involvement have been awful. As for the studios, Elemental, Light Year, Strange World all lost the company beaucoup bucks. The Little Mermaid didn't do anything expect maybe break even and added some chump change.
Ant-Man 3 was a failure. The Little Mermaid was a failure. Elemental was a failure. Indiana Jones 5 is a critical failure (we still have to see box office). That leaves only The Marvels, Haunted Mansion, and Wish left this year for Disney's theatrical releases. Of these, I suspect the Haunted Mansion to be a critical and financial failure, similar to Jungle Cruise. That leaves only The Marvels, Wish, and Guardians 3 as the successes for this year (assuming both Wish and The Marvels do well). Having 5/8 of your theatrically released films be bombs is not a good way forward for the company.
I will hold you to this.I'll venmo you $20 if The Marvels is a success bro.
I will hold you to this.
What do we define as success? Critical success? Simply turning a profit? A billion dollars?
Agreed. Iger most of all. But I must stress, even that won't really solve many of Disney's problems.
His theme park decisions were always bad, really. He never got the parks and his first decision was to ignore them almost entirely. What he said about Everest? The non-descript mountain themed to India or whatever? That's how he's always felt. No one like that can ever be good for the parks.

3xI'll try and give him credit - There was some good stuff done under his reign. I think the new DCA entrance. I haven't a clue if he had a say about it or not.
He's an idiot to say something like nondescript mountain and think we wont make the connection. He used to do a good job of playing the good guy but the community at wide is seeing he's part of the problem. I've never seen someone as terrible as Chapek so by contrast he still looks like the preferred guy.
I believe it. worldwide box office is 499 mil against a budget of 250. How much do they need to make back to just break even? I've heard 2x is a safe number.. so 500? plus all the marketing?
