So who are we thinking for a successor? Kevin Mayer? And as far as the Murdochs go. I think James Murdoch was ruled out as a potential successor to Iger a while back wasn't he?

You must love what he has done to ESPN and their deep dive into left wing land. Bernie is a socialist. Iger is extremely progressive liberal. Big difference.

My opinion is not as you would call "silly". I think it is based in reality and an informed understanding of the cultural and political landscape.
John Skipper did what he did to ESPN. He has since been canned. You'll notice Jemele Hill is no longer employed by the network either.

People vastly overestimate the amount of time and energy Iger spends directing the day-to-day operations of his businesses. It's almost zero.

If customers are being alienated maybe he should get involved since he is to oversee all operations. As a stock holder he gets no free pass from me.

It is wise to keep and cultivate as many potential customers as possible.
The judgement of a number of recent Disney decisions are hard to understand from that perspective.

Bring back Eisner - Disney World's Golden Age

Iger = construction in parks but dark ages for "guests" -

Disney World began taking on more of a carnival vibe and less of the magical world of Disney.
mousekeeping bid to outside companies - don't know about maintenance.
CMs ruder -(not all so don't lose your minds)
Food- Dining plan has affected quality- speaking of the plan, it's gone from a very good value to WHAT? Used to include appetizer, meal, dessert, and drink for $35/adult. Now, the same plan is $75.51/adult and if you want salad or soup, you give up dessert.
