Bob Iger is worse than Michael Eisner ever was - A Discussion on Brand Withdrawal

If it’s good enough for you...that’s your right.

It doesn’t mean there should not be..but we’ll only know if that is true when it’s too late.

The ouster of Eisner was mainly Roy...his decisions made a lot of sense in context in their time as the ones you believe iger makes sense with now.

Bad economies tend to heighten how “awful” people are...until then they get all kinds of similar excuse making.

As always...the road ahead is unknown

The road ahead IS unknown, which means neither you or I know exactly what will happen. You have your opinion and I have mine.

You’re buying the front/narrative that a movie about one of biggest characters in movie history fell flat because the most loyal legion of fans can’t “deal” with only 5 months of downtime, huh?

How convenient for Burbank...no fault except giving the fans “too much”?

...and not “not enough”?

So if the Revenge is the Abrams falls flat after that $200 opening - I think many fans are “on” to the critics - what will it be then?

What if you’re $600 domestic/1.3 worldwide falls to $400/850?
Putting it in pirates or transformers realm and trailing minions by a lot?

What shall we think then.

My opinion is this is much bigger. And I don’t think mr overrated can do with the dull trio of “heros” and Darth Felicity - without anyone left but a dead Hollywood Party Princess - at least not to a redeeming level.

Just an opinion. End Star Wars jack.

I'm sorry, no offense intended. But it would be appreciated if you could post in more clear statements and not in code. It'll make it easier to have clear interaction with you.

The three new, exhilarating “heroes” have nothing to latch onto. Two are completely pointless.

I don’t put that much on abrams...he was doing what he was told - I believe - and expected them to be developed.

But then dip didnt do any of it. He burned the middle phase - which is where the original 3 were fleshed out. That’s a trio shattering mistake.

Driver has done/been developed the best...but we have such a polarizing character there.

They offed two unceremoniously and kept the one original...which I’m sorry, she wasn’t up to it.
George should have done the SEQUELS...but there’s no going back.

And you know: rewrote the force...dumped the “sides” for two nearly identical sides that aren’t explained much at all...and had a “master villain” that Ryguy decided to off without exposition for a plot twist that went nowhere.

And the matrix...and unecessary overemphasis on underdog...

...ok...im spent

Maybe that cleared things up for someone else, but it didn't clear things up for me. You still seem to be speaking in code as if we understand your code words.

So at this point I'll say, have a good day. In the future if you wish to interact with me please do not speak as if I understand your code. Use full complete clear sentences.

I live in New Jersey...I cant bring you any farther along. Nuance is necessary.

It could be fun...like mad libs. Just figure out who the original 3 Stars were...the new heroes that are like drying paint...and the clown KK thinks did such a fantastic job at making the worst Star Wars movie...which I have less doubt of as time goes on.

And I waited 12 hours in the rain to see phantom menace...and it wasn’t warm
That day. So it really goes against my soul to dethrone it from its perch 😉

I waited in the rain to see Episode I as well, with Taco Bell pogs to entertain me. And I loved it. It was never gonna beat Titanic. Nobody can.

I didn’t think they had pogs for titanic?

Remember when “Yum Brands” (I do believe that clown was or is on the disney board) had the weird Star Wars crossover commercials with jedi Chihuaha and colonel sanders driving like a Star Wars Cadillac through the drive through...or something?

Drank a lot of beer in the big 10 in those days...to say nothing of tequila 🤤

So no sense of humor or not caring?

I’m ok with either...just like to know how to better serve in the future?

It’s not THAT coded. I didn’t quote sing lyrics or 80’s movies.

As you said...good day, sir. Thanks for the discussion.

I didn't see anything funny in the post, except maybe the madlibs reference. Because most of your posts are like reading a madlibs, we have to try and interpret what you are trying to say. That isn't the way to have a conversation with someone.

So the former?

I am kidding...I’m not so bad, honest. I have enjoyed the iger discussion...tangent and all.

My day here is done...I dead ended this one and was told this morning that minor anecdotes in my life didn’t actually happen...by clowns.

...now to infinity and beyond!!!

Night, but I would ask again in the future please try to have more clear concise complete sentence when posting. It'll make things a lot easier if you're honestly trying to have an actual conversation with someone on the internet.

Disneyland Paris is a beautiful and amazingly-themed park that manages to bring classic Disneyland to Europe while still appealing to the French. Shanghai Disneyland is Disneyland in name only. A Disneyland without a heavy dose of Americana is not Disneyland.
Doesn't matter after it loses hundreds of millions a year.
