On one of the other forums I visit. One person tried to call to make a ressie for March and were told they weren't taking them; she and two other people then called Boatwright's directly and were told that, yes, in fact, they would no longer be serving breakfast.

Yeah, my husband was very disappointed. We went for dinner two years ago and did not care for it at all (one of the worse meals we've ever had at Disney). But he has heard so much about the sweet potato pancakes and banana stuffed french toast that we were going to drive over there from CSR in September for breakfast. A lot of people on the other forum aren't happy because there is now nowhere for a sit down breakfast between POR and POFQ.

We'll have to go one last time when we're there in February....

No!!!!

We were just there a couple of weeks ago, and have to admit, it was one of the better breakfasts we had down there!!!!! There was only our table and maybe one other one, so I could see them cutting breakfast down, but come on, they can keep serving just for me!!!!

That stinks. I loved their breakfast, but as the previous poster said, when we were there in October they were mostly empty. The food court on the other hand was PACKED every day and that made going to Boatwrights worth it. One day I had to keep circling with our drinks looking for a table while DH got the food and went through the check out. Finally a very nice older couple who were almost finished told me that I could have their table if I could wait a couple of minutes for them to finish!

I think that really stinks. You know, what is the point of paying for a moderate, if they aren't going to have a sit down restaurant? They already had closed the one at French Quarter, and now this one as no sit down option for breakfast? Not cool.

Just found out about this, and while I've no idea when I'll be back to WDW, I'm bummed. One of the best omelettes I've ever had was at Riverside.

pjkdog - heh, Phantom of the Paradise.
