Great resort. If you can get a higher floor you have a good shot at getting a view of TOT. There are a lot of benefits. Walking distance to two parks, a lot of restaurants also within walking distance. The only drawback is that if you have a refillable mug you have to go to the Boardwalk Bakery to use it. However, the bakery has excellent pastries and cakes. You will love it. This was our view the last time we stayed there.

We were at BWV last weekend (we are at BCV right now). We love BWV, especially the BW view rooms. Here's the view we had from our 1-BR last weekend.

We stayed there last July, and had an awesome time. The view of the Boardwalk, which was great. Being able to walk to both Epcot and Studios, a major plus. Didn't find any decent dining options at the villas, had breakfast in the room, and ate at the parks/other resorts the other meals. Bus service to parks was terrific too. Overall, Boardwalk is a great place to stay. Enjoy.

Heading for the great escape.
Loved the location, rooms were beautiful, and we loved the fact that the DVC pool was never crowded.

I have to say that compared to WL I thought it was a cold and stuffy atmosphere, not as friendly. My eldest stayed there this summer and said she preferred it to AKL. So who knows.

Dunno about stuffy, but it sure is cold...those corridors are air conditioned to the point of being meat lockers!!! BRRRRR.

Otherwise, I love it! (for the same reasons as have already been described by other posters) :ROFLOL:

Oh yes. At first I thought "how refreshing" Then the frostbite began to set in :)

Seriously though, BW, for many of the reasons listed above, is my favorite resort as well.

Spent 4 days/3 nights there last summer, in a 1BR villa. Don't know how much I can tell you others already haven't. I thought it was a great-looking resort, awesome lobby, and coming from the Jersey shore, I thought the attention to detail was remarkable. I really appreciated being so close to 2 different parks - when my wife needed a nap, I'd walk to one or the other and experience attractions she wasn't as interested in (or revisit attractions). Like others, the lack of quick service options bothered me (no food court per se, bakery & pizza window were really the main options for quick meals). Pool slide's a lot of fun, I'm glad I've no shame, a man my age shouldn't enjoy pool slides as much as I enjoy that one. It was great to not only be so close to Boardwalk dining and entertainment, but walking distance to the restaurants of Y&BC and Swan (karaoke!) & Dolphin. An embarrassment of riches :)

Glad to be reading the positive comments in this thread. We'll be in a 2-BR (Water view) in mid-January :sohappy:. I keep reminding myself to check out the resort maps, and figure out where we want to stay so that we can make the request. Water view could definitely mean a view similar to Yankspy, and that would be absolutely awesome!
