Boardwalk Villas....what should we bring?

In little less than two weeks, my wife and I (and 6 other family members) will be staying in a 2-bedroom Boardwalk Villa for a week. For those who have stayed there before, what kinds of things are provided in the villa for us to use and what should be bring along ourselves?

Considering they have a kitchenette, they do have useable silverware, don't they or should we bring some?

The blanket situation for the beds. Should we bring some extras?

Towels and what-not for the bathrooms. We're not DVC members, so will house-keeping be coming by to refill our supply of towels, or do we need to bring our own?

All the stuff you mentioned is provided as well as cookware, dushes, glasses, stove , microwave , toastere etc even blenders. Bring some food, snacks and drinks as they are pretty pricey there.

If you goto DVC information sites it tells you what is supplied in villas.

$th day you'll get new towels. BUT THERE IS A WASHER AND DRYER and 1 detergent pack.. We throw towels in washer dailey as well as other stuff, take a little detergent. You'll be glad you did. Soap and shampoo always seems adequate til' renewal day. They call it trash and towel service

Because you are not DVC members you will get daily mousekeeping. Bring extra laundry soap though, the little box they give you only does 1 load.

We always get our food delivered (you can do this through the official DVC site) or we'll make a trip to the grocery store. You can easlily save a small fortune this way. I'd only pack some extra dishwasher soap, laundry soap, possibly a blender for some slushy drinks, and a few other small items. Even though they are not supposed to, Mousekeeping usually treats us pretty much the same as though we were a "regular" (I don't mean to put anyone down, just trying to be helpful) resort guest.

If you have room in your luggage, you could also pack a few things. We are going down in 16 days (yay) to the bw villas and we are packing individually wrapped coffee packets (b/c I would not have any "disney magic" if I didn't start the day with a cup of joe). We picked some up from Tim Hortins, but I'm pretty sure they sell it at most grocery stores too. Have a great trip!

On our last trip to BWV we actually packed a whole suitcase full of food. Just snack things, peanut butter, mac & cheese, etc for the kids while we were there. That way we did not have to make a stop or pay higher prices once we were there. Then on the way home, we had a whole suitcase to bring home all those souveneirs that we bought while we were down there!

There is a publix right outside of the disney entrance on SR 192 right next to the 24hr Walgreens. If you do not have your own car it is a very short cab ride. We purchase our food and water there so we don't have to worry about packing it.

Actually it depends. If you're paying cash through Disney like any other hotel room then this is true. If you've rented through a DVC member, then you will get new towels on the 4th day. Have a great trip!

I do this too! I try to bring breakfast stuff and individually wrapped snacks to take in the parks with us. Also, I bring PB&J stuff. (I buy the bread at the Boardwalk)

One little trick I found is the pop and water at the Hess station right outside of the Boardwalk is fairly reasonable!

Have a great time!
