Boardwalk - does it come alive at night?

No the only people who look like that are tourists.

I think only one "cast member" (and I use that phrase loosely) of Jersey Shore is from jersey, the rest are Noo Yawkers.

Originally we were going to stay at the Boardwalk but we decided on the Animal Kingdom Lodge because it was just so unique and sounded awesome.

I know it's not the same as going to a sports-themed bar or Jellyrolls or a dance club, but there are lounges at Animal Kingdom Lounge, 2 at the Lodge itself (Victoria Falls - a bar on the mezzanine overlooking Boma - and the Uzima Springs pool bar), and one in the new restaurant Sanaa in the Villas section (but it's not exclusive to Villas members or people staying in the Villas at that time). If you're looking for a place to unwind with cocktail and some nice conversation, Victoria Falls is wonderful. If what you want is to get rowdy, then probably none of them will suffice.

Boardwalk at night is pretty cool, but there's not enough to do. They need more carnival games and stuff. Although the Big River Grille & Brewing Works is cool because they make their own beer there. I only had one when I was there last time though. Don't remember if it was any good though.

Do the New Jersey people on this website wear orange tans and act like Jersey Shore?

Being from NJ myself I had to give Jersey Shore a try when it premiered. I consider it no small accomplishment to have made it all the way through the opening credits - which were actually quite informative, telling me not only that I wasn't going to enjoy the show, but also that few members of the cast were from NJ at all, and none of them were from the Shore.

In other words, the show would have been more appropriately titled "Bennies".

We love Boardwalk and during the day, while no street performers are out, there are shops and places to eat. We love seeing the performers at night and also going to ESPN or Big River Grill for a beer. They are both open until one am.
The surrrey bike rentals are fun too. My kids like the carnival games too in the evenings.
