Our trip isnt planned until next year, but my daughter will turn 4 when we are there. Anything special I should known of/ do for kids birthdays? You Just get a pin when you walk in, right? I was planning on breakfast at Cinderellas Castle.

You can order gifts, cakes, etc to be delivered to your room through Disney Floral & Gifts. I've never ordered anything, but I have been a recipient. When we checked in at Ft. Wilderness, the gift was waiting for me at the registration desk. Just a little bit of magic.

I would say that a meal at Cinderella Castle should be plenty to make her feel special! Be sure to note the birthday celebration on your reservation. When we had dinner there (May 2014) for my daughter's 6th birthday, I noted it on the ADR. When we arrived, a special Happy Birthday placemat (signed by all the Princesses) was waiting at her place, and later, our server brought out a birthday cupcake with a lit candle to mark the occasion. These things were done without my asking for them, and in addition to the usual fanfare (kids given magic "wands" or swords, princesses circulating to greet them). My daughter was totally delighted at how specially she'd been treated, and was walking on air for the rest of the day.

We also let her wear her Princess Aurora gown (brought from home), which made her feel right at home in the Castle. (I had a back-up outfit in my purse, which she changed into afterwards, as she preferred not to tour the park on a very hot day in a glitter-and-polyester dress!)

Have fun!

P.S. I would have your wedding anniversary marked on any ADRs you have for the anniversary date, as well. It's not guaranteed, but sometimes servers will bring out a special dessert or other treat to wish you well.

We did the same thing that you are planning on doing for my daughters 5th birthday. We (me, sister, daughter) arrived on a Friday and got her birthday pin and our (me, sister) "I'm Celebrating" pins. We had breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table on that Saturday morning (she is a picky eater so breakfast was the only meal I knew she would eat there) which was her birthday day. All the Princesses told her happy birthday, and she was told "Happy Birthday Princess" by almost every one of the cast members that we passed by. She also got told Happy Birthday by a few characters in the parade that saw her button. It isnt guarantees that she will get a cupcake/card at the restaurants, but we ended up with one from our Crystal Palace meal (signed by Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger), Tusker House meal (I believe was signed by the Fab 5), and CRT (signed by princesses). Usually at the restaurants they asked us if we were celebrating anything and we made sure to tell them about her birthday. She loved getting just a little extra attention at the Happiest Place on Earth.

I love celebrating birthdays at Disney World! You can request the birthday button upon checking in at your resort or at Guest Services at the park. Another idea for a little princess is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. "Fairy Godmothers in Training" give makeovers at Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs, and there are different category tiers/prices to choose from. They take reservations 180 days in advance.

There are so many wonderful things to do! Bibbity Bobbity Boutique would be fun with lunch with her favorite princesses! Yes, you get a pin and don't forget to tell them when making dining reservations! Disney Florist offers in room celebrations and you can order a cake! They have cakes you can order at the podium when you check in or you can special order a cake. We special ordered the cake in this picture for my son's 1st birthday.

We decorated our resort(POR) room door and windows as well as the inside of our room. I also packed a few small presents for my step-daughter to open on her actual birthday..some pools toys, a few new Disney themed outfits...some Frozen jewelry...and a few birthday cards ''signed'' by her fave characters, and inside the cards I put Disney tattoos, stickers, ...things like that:D

We celebrated our daughters 8th Birthday in WDW. She wanted to do a Safari or Dolphin swim so I suggested America, swapping our annual Paris trip to WDW. It was amazing so we are doing it again for her 9th in October.. We decorated our room at Saratoga Springs after she went to sleep the night before. Pre-ordered a cake online which was delivered to our room the day before without her seeing it. Had a character meal a Tuskers, where the server gave us a card to get signed. I had a birthday girl baseball cap made via ebay, so the characters made a huge fuss during photos. Mickey sang Happy Birthday, via hand gestures :) We also did the Halloween Party inc desert party the following day. Followed by the next day at Discovery Cove, with a surprise Birthday message delivered by a dolphin. .. Hope you all have an amazing trip and birthday :)

I will suggest to get a few birthday pins made. I did this a few times when there on my birthday. Some CMs will do different things on pin. One CM drew little Mickeys all around my name. Another misspelled my name Gorge instead of George. She drew a Mickey balloon after Gorge. I still have those two.
